I’ve used this bag to haul camera gear and for 2-5 day trips. It is a pleasure to use, has great features. I love the little stash pocket at the top and the mag latch is great!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Totally in love with this bag

I bought my 1st bag many years ago and I love it still. For its flexibility and capacity. The side access is one of its best features. Also Peak Design has a life time warranty and their service reps are always ready to work with you to solve any problem. Aspects of the bag literally wore out due to extended use and the representative worked with me to achieve a satisfactory replacement solution. I own many items and love all of them and their ability to stand up to the wear and tear of a busy photographic experience.

Just like my everyday messenger, this has been with me around the world. Be it office, or hiking/ camping travel. The modular design has helped me to organise things perfectly and the ease of use it amazing. Everything is well thought and designed. Zips in the side, mag latch, waterproof, what else can I say, once you have the product in your hand, the product will do justification for itself. No need of people saying anything about it. It's that good.

Smart looking bag but may not be for everyone

I have been using this bag for about a year now and I quite like its styling. I am able to pack even a 150-600 or 200-600 lens (without body) on one side which is a big deal. However, I am not too sure if the side opening mechanism is most user friendly or as per my expectations. The compartments are adjustable but so far I have not been able to be 100% confident about my safety of my gear be it from the perspective of fear of gear scrubbing against each other or the quality of padding incase of bumping against some hard surfaces. Also struggled with attaching capture clip to the thick straps and in one instance the clip popped open.
It may be splitting hair but overall its a fairly decent bag and recommended certainly for urban photographers.

Beautiful but painful

I love the design of this bag. Beautiful, functional, perfect for my needs. But, I have a few complaints, on the comfort of the shoulder strap and back support. The shoulder strap digs into my shoulder. I can’t carry this bag for more than 2 hours. The lower back support material tends to tear easily and it does not rest well on my back. Lastly, the waist straps slowly loosens… I have to tighten it every 30 mins.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

First Peak purchase but not my last

Bought the larger of the 2 Everyday backpacks. Used it on a trip to S.F., fits snugly under an airplane seat. Love the access from the sides as well as like most pack from up top.

My favorite backpack
on April 16, 2022

This is my favorite backpack, organization and access are great and work as advertised.
Shoulder straps could be softer though and adjustment straps although super smooth in the beginning, become less smooth over time. Side zips develop weak points over time so you have to be careful to close them.
Having said that, these are the only drawbacks and I would say there are 5 times more things that I'm happy about, like how weatherproof it is. I've been caught in a rainstorm with no part dry on my body and the backpack was dry inside.

This backpack holds everything for this novice to take with her. I am not experienced enough to know what to take so I take everything I own! Sony A7r iv, Sony 200-600, Tamron 35-150, Sony 90 macro, Sony 24-240, Flash, several straps, cards, Batteries, charger, lens kit and I am sure I have something out. The accessibility is great. Easy to grab whatever lens you may need. I couldn't be happier!
