Great concept, not for everyone.

I have owned every PD backpack.
My disappointment with the everyday backpack comes from my use of it in a professional shoot. To get to my gear, O have to unload almost everything in the pack and return what I do not need to use which eats up time instead of like a clam shell type of bag that allows me to just grab what I need, then close.

The pro of this bag is it's build quality.

Most valuable piece of equipment (except my camera

I have used this bag for local shoots and all over the world. I've even used it on bike trips in Vancouver and Europe. It can be configured to accommodate all my needs; for numerous lens and camera body combinations and assorted gear. I also like the thoughtful design. It is so easy to use!

In some ways, I prefer this one over version 2. It's a toss up. I have used V1 for so many years now and it's my go to bag. I have it in both sizes. It's so easy, so versatile. It's great.

My favorite travel bag

This was my first peak design purchase and did not disappoint, I’m hooked. I love that I always know where everything is in my bag. This is amazing for traveling on an airplane by myself or with my kids. Love the easy side access.

Great item for everyday use!!

I bought this backpack about 3 years ago and have been using it as my main backpack for commuting, travels etc. This backpack has different types of pockets in which you can fit small and big items as per your preference.
My favorite part is ther devider that can divide the space into different items. In my case, I put my lunch box at the bottom of the backpack with great stability so that your lunch will be safe till its time. On top of lunch box, I put tech pouch which perfectly fit into it with another divider. Upper zipper from where you access to laptop, tablet and small stuffs in a pocket is really useful too.
Even if you're not camera person, I'm sure you can really enjoy different tools of this backpack in your daily life.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I had this backpack from the very first crowd funded campaign. It last me 5 years until the back of it was fraying due to use/wear & tear. Because of their lifetime guarantee, I upgraded to the newer version and I love it even more. This original version had some great features and the charcoal color was top notch with that red stitching. The pockets, handles, zips and compartments were of such great quality. The ease of use was the winner for me. I'm not a photographer but I used this backpack for everything in my life. It truly lived up to the name of being an "everyday" backpack.

Love! But...

Best camera bag I have tried. I have both available sizes and use them daily. Everything is holding up great on the packs for over 2 years. BUT... I wish this camera back would stand up on its bottom. The design almost allows this, but your bag will surely fall and dump your gear if you depend on it to stand. I still give this bag a 5, but would buy two new bags if they would just stand up!
