At first, this was an excellent monitor, but after a couple of years, things really went south. The screen "flickers" with multiple vertical lines almost all of the time and makes it very difficult to see. I use the monitor for work and it's very disappointing that it only lasted a couple years. I would expect a lot more than that from a Samsung product (of which I own many). At this point, despite the fact that I own many great Samsung products, when I finally get sick of dealing with the "flickering vertical lines", I probably won't replace with another Samsung. Once bitten...
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
