Lots of Variety and Room to Grow

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the variety of activities available with this product. Everything from imaginative play and music to "find the letter" and "identify the sound" games. There's lots to do, and my son plays a long time before losing interest. In my opinion the best part is the alphabet portion; the shapes and clock seem a bit of an add on. My 20 month old son can successfully find a few of the pictures when the toy asks for them, and he loves the lights and music when he gets one right. I also love that if he doesn't select one right away the correct answer lights up after a few seconds, providing a great hint and allowing him more success.
While promoted as good for travel, the product is on the larger size. It wouldn't comfortably fit in our diaper bag, although with the handle my son could carry it himself. While the four modes provide great variety of play, the large brightly colored selector attracts my son's attention, and he spends a lot of his time simply sliding the switch between modes. There's a bit of an issue with the shape slider, at least on our copy. Sometimes it gets stuck and repeats the name of the shape over and over, which can be annoying. The rest of the toy works great, though. I appreciate the power button and volume selector on the back.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughter has enjoyed playing with this item very much since I gave it to her. All the sounds from each button get her engaged, and she has even started playing a little game where she pushes certain button when she ends her sentences. I would recommend this toy for anyone who has a child with an active imagination, I can see this being used for years in role playing games with her friends!

This easily became a favorite in our house. Helped my toddler learn a few new words. It was easy for him to use. Downside it gets stuck on the clock song sometimes or glitches until you turn it off and back on even after changing the batteries.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Sounds like a broken record

We bought this from ToysR Us less than a year ago. It worked fine at the beginning. However, it sounds just like a broken record now. The batteries are fine. I tried all options. No luck! I wish Fisher Price could do something about it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great toy

A to Z smart pad is great for learning letters and alphabets. My kids love it and my son has learnt I lot from it. I bought two more as gifts.
