Educational and portable

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When my son first saw the A to Z smart pad he was excited and intrigued. He loved the clock and enjoys the music option most of all, seeing as he loves to sing the ABC's. However we found that the portability for him may be restricting as it is kind of bulky and slightly heavy for him to carry around. Also it may be beneficial for it to have a kickstand or such to help with table use.

Many activities and very durable

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Laugh and Learn Smart Pad is a nice alternative to full featured tablets, which are far more expensive and less durable. It will be a very nice transitional toy to help our younger child learn numbers, letters, colors, shapes, and animals before she is old enough to be trusted with a tablet or more expensive electronic device.
Set up: A phillips head screwdriver will open a slot on the back for 3 AA batteries. Ours came with batteries out of the box, so it was ready to go as soon as we opened it.
Play time: We have two 4 year old boys and a 2 year old girl. The older kids were initially interested but moved on fairly quickly and haven't returned much over the past few days. Our 2 year old however likes it very much and spends a few short periods with it each day. The older kids have access to full featured tablets and have pretty much mastered letters, numbers, animals, shapes, colors, and other things that this Smart Pad teaches, so it was not surprising that they moved on quickly. It is really great for our 2 year old though, as she is just beginning to learn these things, and we love that it is durable enough to let her use it without supervision. I am nervous to give her a tablet, but this thing looks and feels indestructible, with a thick plastic case that holds up very well to being dropped and stepped on. She especially likes the songs and music modes, which the older kids sing along with, and that the buttons light up in patterns and the various modes. The different modes are not very intuitive just based upon their graphic, but the instructions provide a decent explanation of what they do. There is also a sliding feature and a clock spinning feature, so there is a lot to interact with. There are two different volume modes and it is plenty loud, and does not feature any particularly annoying sounds that are repeatedly played.
Clean up: No real clean up necessary. I don't stress if it is thrown on the ground or left on a table where it could drop because it is extremely durable.

Great features, valuable learning tool, and fun!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This toy is adored by my 13 month old daughter. Although many of the learning modes will not be used for a long time (animal, letter, shape association) she has been gravitating to this toy for the past week. There are textile buttons to be pushed, lights, songs, rotating clock arms and sliding buttons that have kept her interest and entertained. We look forward to using the toy to teach letter association and use the learning mode to find animals, letters, match sounds to animals, colors and shapes.
Benefits:
- This toy will help children learn over many stages of development.
- The Laugh and Learn is easily handled by small children (1yr) and can be moved around.
- This toy has maintained my daughters interest and she is genuinely intrigued by the buttons, clock and sliding shape arm.
- The number of learning modes in one toy is great! As mentioned earlier, it has enough textile and motor skill features for a young child as well as the learning stages of the alphabet, numbers, shapes, colors, animals and associations built into the learning stages.
- This laugh and learn will be a valuable learning tool for multiple developmental stages.
- This is an "all-in-one" toy that encompasses a lot of features into one small package that may take the place of multiple other developmental accessories.
- This toy will help children learn over many stages of development.
- The Laugh and Learn is easily handled by small children (1yr) and can be moved around.
- This toy has maintained my daughters interest and she is genuinely intrigued by the buttons, clock and sliding shape arm.

Fun for a little while

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son enjoys playing with it but it doesn't seem to hold his attention for very long. He enjoys hearing sounds but quickly loses interest. I think with the increase in tablets this type of toy may get passed by.

So many features

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this in the mail earlier today and I unpacked it from the box and it went off and my son heard it and started freaking out he wanted to play with it as soon as he heard it. I got it unpacked and he hasnt put it down since. It has been 2 hours already. There are many different options. Because you can do different shapes, the alphabet, search, music, find. A bunch of different choices. It is AWESOME! Definitely one of the best toys I have gotten him yet and he has a lot of toys from many different brands. He loves this one though.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Laugh and Learn Puppy's A to Z smart pad is a wonderful educational tool for all ages. My 13 month old son absolutely loves this smart pad. Our pediatrician recommended my son needed therapy for his thumbs as he doesn't use them as much as he should. This smart pad is wonderful as it has buttons perfect for small fingers helping to build his dexterity. My son can be very picky when it comes to baby toys that hold his attention. This toy he has not stopped playing with since we opened the package. He will sit and play with the Laugh and Learn pad for 20 minutes at a time. I love how it teaches the alphabet as well as animals, shapes, colors, sounds and even options to keep his attention he becomes older. This toy is lots of fun and toddler proof. I would recommend this toy to anyone looking for a truly educational toy for infants and toddlers!!!!!!
