It is the best electric shaver that i have ever tried. all the other ones i have ever tried have pulled my hair. this one doesnt do that its great. it gives me a nice smooth clean shave. I would recommend it to anyone that needs a good razor #GotItFree

I have been using the Braun Series 5 5147s Men’s Electric Foil Shaver for the last 3 weeks and must say that I get a very close cut and smooth shave every time. I give it 5 stars and would recommend it to anyone.
On a side note..... My wife likes the way my face feels and does not want me to stop using it.

Good, but not great, electric razor

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Braun Series 5 5147s Men's electric foil shaver is a nice step forward in a lightweight, easy-to-handle foil-head shaver. It charges quickly and notifies you when the battery is full by a persistent but pleasant tone. Easy to clean, it can be used wet, dry or with a variety of shaving lotions, creams, or foam. You can rinse it out with water or a soap solution or brush it clean if you use the razor dry. But the crucial factor is - how well does it shave? For that, it's a toss-up. Not nearly as close or long-lasting as a blade, but better than older foil shavers. The head can lock to assist in getting the angle right for best shaving. It's a solid effort that can work well as a touch-up shaver in the evening, but if you have a heavier or tougher beard, this is just an okay shaver. Light beards will find this to be excellent.

That is a close shave!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think I have a new shaving tool. I have used the Braun Series 55r a couple of weeks now I like it.
The S5 delivers a clean, close, comfortable shave either wet or dry. I have used blades for decades. I like the shave I get with this S5 much better. No nicks, cuts or razor burn.
I'm sold on this shaver.

The best shave I ever got

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think this is the best shave I have ever got . The Braun Series 5 adjusts to my hard to cut facial hair . I usually have a hard time because hair on my face grows uneven and thicker in some parts . With the Braun Series 5 it gets all of that and more . No nicks cuts and so easy to use which is no easy feet for me with arthritis . My face is smooth and soft and done in less time . I love it .

Good Shaver for the 'Self-Time'

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Braun Series 5 5147s Men's electric foil shaver is a good looking shaver. Right out of the box the weight of this is perfect, not too heavy not too light. The shaver charges quick and has built in LEDs and a tone to let you know when fully charged. The ON-OFF locking switch is convenient for someone like me that travels a lot and doesn't want it turning on in their luggage. The fact that it is wet dry is always a plus for me because I like to shave in the shower without cream sometimes. When I tested the shave on this shaver I did it dry and wet to see if it made a difference either way. Unfortunately it didn't. This shaver I would have liked it give a close shave but it doesn't unless you continually pull and contort your skin and go over the spots at all different angles. For a quick once over its perfect as long as you don't mind a bit of stubble still, but for a close shave, it will take a little time. Overall it is a good shaver as long as you give yourself some self-time, but hey we are worth spending time to look good right guys? I would recommend this to anyone that wants a convenient, comfortable experience and doesn't mind taking time for themselves.

Braun Series 5 5147 Electric Shaver

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The razor , out-of-the-box, charged up successfully using the AC power cord. The charging stand was not provided with this shaver. The "heft" and "feel" of the razor was comfortable during use and did not feel heavy. I find that this particular shaver is very noisy. I considered putting a drop of oil on the head mechanism but did not. The shaver cuts very well and the multi-position head facilitates the use. The shaver has held a charge for better than a week now.

I shaved my dense beard, and it left my face feeling nice and smooth. The Braun Series 5 5147s Men’s Electric Foil Shaver stays charged for a long time. It is light-weight and easy to use. I was hesitant to try the Braun Series 5 5147s Men’s Electric Foil Shaver, as I always used a regular disposal. I would highly recommend the Braun Series 5 5147s Men’s Electric Foil Shaver and have not discovered anything I don't like about it.
