I bought this one because I needed the oblong shape of the insert for slow-cooking large beef short-ribs, which has always been a family favorite! I was able to cook five pounds of ribs, and the longest on the rack was just over nine inches!

Love the multiple uses of this cooker. I can sear my roast, then add my veggies and broth, and voila! turn the cooker down to slow cook, set the time and leave it. Only one pot dirtied.

This is the best multi appliance on the market. It does 4 different things and it is a family size. If i have to brown a roast first befote slow cooking, i just use the brown setting. Then go to slow cooker setting and continue with my recipe i would definitely recommend this product.

So easy to use and holds the temperature that it states. I was tired of low setting on my old slow cooker getting above the boiling point which overcooks meats. Holds food Warm well and is great for browning meat without having to use a separate Pan. Looking forward to trying other features and may go back and also get a smaller version.
