The high setting does not produce a slow boil as my other slow cooker did. I don’t know if this is the way it’s supposed to work or not. I’ve had to switch it to sauté and brown to get it to boil and then turn it down.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I really like this versatile cooker. I did not expect it to brown meat, but it does a really nice job. I like being able to sear and slow cook in the same pot. I have made chili, Swiss steak, and beef stir fry in it. So far, clean-up is a breeze. I would definitely recommend.
