Not worth the money

We ordered this set a couple months ago and had to send it back before we even had it a month. All of the pots and pans lost their finishes and developed black splotches all over the inside with anything and everything cooked in them, even boiling a pot of water took the finish off.

Our 20+ yr old cookware set was just not gonna be able to handle our upgraded gas stove. Time for new cookware. After much research and deal shopping I found this 17pc set and in the price range I was looking for. We love these pots/pans. The cook amazingly with the higher BTUs of our gas range, keeping things even temped. Cleanup and look amazing after every use. Could not be happier!!

Beautiful pans, but disappointed.

The pots and pans are beautiful and I love using them; however, they are very hard to clean and got discolored after boiling water. I of course washed all the pots and pans before use and dried them per the care instructions. I went to boil water to make some pasta and after I was dinner there were black marks stuck to the bottom of my pot. I have used a dish towel and soap with warm water as well as tried to boil off the stains per the care instructions, but that did not work. They cook the food very well, but cleaning them is a challenge.

This was a gift from my kids for Christmas. It's performance is fine, but I don't like the fact that I have to wash them by hand and not in the dishwasher. I use a dishwasher liquid that contains no phosphorus (Melaleuca product) and wonder if that would make it ok to put in dishwasher. The lids are hard to store. I haven't figured out the strainer. Is it a rice cooker?

Heavy duty set

I am loving this set. I have owned them for about a month. They are heavy which can be challenging to lift large pots of pasta from stove to strainer. The reason I gave it 4 stars is because the handles of the lids get extremely hot to the touch. After the first time of using a set with the lid I about dropped the lid because the lid handles are not insulated. So beware and make sure to use pot holders when taking the lids off. Otherwise I love this set and the steaming basket is great since it fits a few different sizes.

I’m truly 50/50 split. I love them but also frustrated that just a few times in use the material of the coating has stained a little bit on two of my pots and also noticeable scratches in the material as far as surface is concerned even with using plastic and wooden large spoons to stir with and also silicone whisk being used. Other for those two concerns they have held up well to my cooking at home and when I have also put the large skillet into the stove it retains heat very well. Just wish those problems in early ownership would not have happened. I would expect these things to happen over years not a few weeks.

The surface is non-stick but you CANNOT use any utensil. You can only use silicone utensils, all other utensils scratch the surface. Why would you even bother creating a non-stick surface that is so easy to damage?
