Perfect protection for you LeapPad!

I purchased this item for my grandaughter's LeapPad2 that we got her for Christmas. It is perfect. It offers protection all the way around and on the back. The gel covering keeps the LeapPad2 from sliding around when layed on a slick surface. My granddaughter is age 5 & the gel protector helps her little hands hold onto it better. Accidents will always happen, purchase this for added security!
Pros: Good for on-the-go play

Gel Skin is helpful

My daughter loves the purple Gel Skin because it has sparkles and coordinates with her pink LP2 perfectly. We like it because it helps her hold onto the LP2 a bit better. Her brand new LP2 did slip off of her lap while she was reaching for something, but it is still fine. Granted it was dropped from the sofa on to a rug. I think the Gel Skin helps provide a little extra protection. I do not think it is that difficult to change the batteries as some reviewers have stated. If you have items to plug in AC adapter, head phones, USB, there are opening provided for all those items. However, it does make it difficult to fit the LP1 into the Leap Frog LP pink fashion bag we purchased to carry/store it. It does work, but is a bit of a tight fit. I would purchase it again.

Each of my boys received a leap pad 2 from Santa, having blue for an option really helped out so there is no confusion on who's is who's

Gel Skin

My grandson's favorite color is blue, so I bought the gel skin for his LeapPad2 since it only comes in green for boys. He loves it and it helps protect it from bumps and bangs

Gel skin cover

The gel skin cover fits perfectly over my son's Leap Pad 2. It is a good cover as far as protection from dirt, scratches, and little hands that might have a little leftover snack on them. I was hoping it would be a little thicker, as far as for shock (drop) absorption, but a little barrier is better than none. I also wish it came with some sort of screen protector though, either as one piece or even a separate peel & stick kind. That would be my recommendation for improvements.

Great bright colors but meant seem as resistant as a regular cell phone case but its worth the money.

Very Snug

I was kind of surprised at how stiff the material was for the gel skin, but I am actually thankful for this because my son is obsessed with taking the gel skin off my phone, but this won't budge for him (so now he can't get to the battery compartment if he tried!) It does add that cushion incase your kid drops it on a hard surface. My son has already dropped his Leappad2 in a parking lot and it is still in perfect condition!
MY SUGGESTIONS TO LEAPFROG: wish this came in more colors and maybe make the material just a smidge more pliable! It is very difficult getting to the battery compartment.
