It's a must have!

The Gel Skin 2 is a must have for a LeapPad 2. I have three boys and they will all drop their LeapPad 2 at least once this week. The gel skin protects the device from scratches and cracks. I just wish they had one more color so I can differentiate between the 3 LeapPad's. Yellow or white would work!

There is no point to this case. It doesn't protect the screen, doesn't prevent the games from popping out...there is no reason for this other then to help my 3 year old hold it

It is great for dry sticky, wet sticky, dirty sticky, etc . I that kids abuse their cameras. The other IPad my son is setting up for my grand baby. He is having trouble setting it up. It is a piece of cake.
Pros: Educational, Good for on-the-go play, Fun for kids, Grows with child

I had a hard time finding a purple gel skin cover so I was very excited when I saw that Leap Frog had this item. It cost quite a bit more but I thought it would be worth it because it matched the Sophia game that I bought for my granddaughter. When I received the cover it was pink. I was very disappointed because I specifically requested a purple cover. When I sent an e-mail to Leap Frog to let them know that I received the wrong color they ordered me a purple cover and I had it within a few days. I was very impressed. The cover is well made and I think it will protect the game. However, the game that I bought the cover for has rechargeable batteries and it is a pain to remove the cover each time you have to charge the batteries. I am hoping that the cover doesn't stretch out from taking it on and off so much. I just gave a 3 rating for educational because the cover doesn't really have anything to do with education like the games do.
Pros: Good for on-the-go play

Gelskins are helpful

I bought 3 different gel skins for my kids leap pads. they were excited as they were able to easily define who's is who by the color. They were easy to apply and seem well made. they have already protected the pad from drops. I would recommend this to anyone with a child that is hard on their leap pad.

This seems to be a good product. We recently bought a Leap Pad 2 for our 6 yr old and we bought this skin to protect it. It is a pain to get on and off, but once it is on, it works well. We bought the rechargeable battery pack that stays in the unit, and so we don't have to take the skin off to change batteries or to charge them. If I had to take it off every time the batteries were low or dead, I might just give the product a lower review! The only reason why I didn't give it a full 5 stars on the "Value for Features" is because the holes on the skin don't seem to line up very well. I've tried over and over again, but I can't get everything to line up perfectly. I've got it as close as I can for now though. The only thing off now is the hole for the microphone. Hopefully it won't affect the recording capability too much with that hole not lining up. I'm not sure how that could be resolved, but they could have possibly made the hole a little larger so that it would have some "give" in it. Either way, it is a good product and I would recommend buying it to protect your Leap Pad!

Leappad gel skin is a nice protector

I like that this allows for a little bit of cushioning for the occasional drop, and it covers where the batteries go, so my child won't be playing with that part (which she likes to do). It is a little snug going on, which is probably a good thing, but it makes it a little challenging to get it on and off for battery changes. And with the gel skin on, the Leappad is just a little bulky to fit into the case (which we use anyway). It's also just a little bit sticky (that's not quite the right word) so it is easy for my child to keep a good grip, instead of it slipping out of her hands.
Pros: Grows with child, Good for on-the-go play
