Great Cooktop

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love this new Samsung 30" Gas Cooktop with 22K BTU Dual Power Burner in Black Stainless Steel. This is my first 5 burner and it looks very modern and professional looking, has 3 removable grates which are heavy and well made, very durable, makes cleaning easy. I really like that the knobs have a blue illuminating light when you turn the burner on and gives an elegant look to the cooktop. The middle burner is large and puts out a hot high flame which is very nice to have for larger pots and pans and heats up well, water is boiling in no time. Also has Wi-Fi smart connect that allows you to monitor the status of the cooktop, this is done through the SmartThings app through your phone. Lastly, it come with a very nice, heavy, cast iron griddle that is perfect for pancakes, eggs, bacon. I would recommend this cooktop to anyone looking for a 5 burner.

Smart connect stopped working in less than a year

i bought this cooktop because it can integrate with smartthings, but that only lasted for 9 months, then it stopped working. i tried several troubleshooting options but nothing worked. contacted samsung customer support and they have no idea what is smart connect and how to reset it let alone troubleshoot it. i am disappointed. otherwise the cooktop itself is good. but cleaning it is very difficult, the panel around the knobs are poorly designed that food and trash can get between the knobs and get into the circuit panel. it is super hard to clean that part.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Warning Don’t Buy This Cooktop

the silicone rubber feet on the bottom of the grates are glued on and in time fall off. causing them to rub metal to metal, scratching the stainless sufacee. it can also cause the grates to shift while movinge heavy pots on the surface. if multiple feet fall off adjacent grates and if a pot of hot oil shifts while moving another heavy pot it could cause oil to spill from the shift causing a fire. samsung doest sell these cheap silicone ruber feet, they want you to buy the whole new grate at over on hundered a peaice depending on the grate! i talked to them these rubber pieces can’t cost more than fifty cents ea max, but they dont sell them. if yours fell off call consumers reports or underwriters laberatories!

Poor Quality Knobs

All 5 burner knobs have cracked/broken in just over two years of ownership. Manufacturer defect in material, design and construction. Poor quality.

Let me start by saying I was terrified buying this cooktop as a lot of the reviews are mixed. Some people say the burners get really hot and smoke and the finish is “weird” and bubbles when attempted to clean it.. I think these people did not read the guidelines and instructions on how to clean it by Samsung.. I previously had a Electrolux cooktop in stainless that was so badly scratched and was seriously at the end of its life. I went ahead and bought it and have used it every night for the past month now. It’s gorgeous! The LED lights are a nice touch and the wok insert is fabulous! I am happy to report I haven’t had any trouble cleaning it! A little soap and water everything comes off with ease. The burner handles do get warm but I haven’t seen “smoking” or so hot I can’t touch it. I didn’t realize what I was missing my food cooks so much more consistent and everything heats up super fast!! I love this cook top! And it looks so good in my kitchen ☺️ very happy with my purchase. If your on the fence or been lead astray by other reviews I would advise to go for it!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am in love with new 36" Gas Cooktop with 22K BTU Dual Power Burner in Black Stainless Steel, I enjoy cooking more, makes life easier, all the features are just awesome, love the LED lights when my burner is on, the flame is just powerful and beautiful. Love the cast iron griddle, is heavy and high quality, easy to clean and cooks perfectly my food. The design of this cooktop is just beautiful, Fingerprint Resistant & Black Stainless Steel. Love the 5 burners, easy to cook a lot of things at the same time, except if you are cooking with huge pots. The best thing it has WIFI, so in case I forgot if I leave a burner on I just can check on my phone. Overall I truly love my Samsung Cooktop, which works awesome, easy to clean, cook, and looks beautiful! I cook more often now and I enjoy every single thing about it!
