Just what the wife wanted.

Having the freezer on the bottom works better for us than the side by side this refrigerator replaced. The shelving seems versatile and adaptable for our needs. The door storage is a bit shallow but we are learning to adjust how we use them. The lighting is very good. It is bright and even making find things easy. The ice maker and the in door water work well. The exterior display and adjustments are intuitive and understandable. Our only real complaint is that we could not get this unit in white.
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Terrible waste of money. Food freezes regularly and told by service technician it’s a problem with the design of the fridge. I wrote whirlpool they so far have ignored my concerns. I am now looking at buying a new fridge as this one is useless to us. Very disappointed as I always bought Whirlpool but never again. If someone at Whirlpool wants to reply to my letter please do so.

Lousy Design

Who Designed this thing. Easily the worst refrigerator I've ever owned. I would return it but I live in the Virgin Islands and my options are limited. The problems are, the doors don't close that well. I've had this unit for just 3 weeks and have found the doors don't really close and seal unless you really push them. But if you push the left door too hard the right door will pop out enough to loose its seal. Now lets get to the freezer door. Very poor design totally. This door because of the ice maker design is even worse than the top door. There is enough restriction to making it close to have a secure seal a pain. At least a 1/2 dozen times I've walked by and found the freezer door ajar. Ice melted and items defrosted or partly defrosted. Every time I go by the unit I have to check the doors to make sure they are closed all the way. Really poor design. I get up in the middle of the night and have to check to see if all the doors are totally closed. Also the is no alarm or buzzer on this unit if the door is not closed. Just about every refrigerator out there has this feature. Not this one though. If you have kids it's almost impossible to keep these doors closed and sealed. Doesn't any one at Whirlpool check out their products? Here in the Virgin Islands our Electric is very high. So this stupid fridge doesn't help that. I would return in a heartbeat. But Availability for the size I need is non existent here. But once there is.... this unit is gone. I'd give this away to some poor fool. I would not buy a Whirlpool product again at gun-point.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If I could give 0 stars I would. Compressor went out and we only owned it for 7 months. Whirlpools repair and replace system is a joke. We have been without a fridge for over a month

Don't buy if you use any tall items

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought one week ago. Although we like the large interior space the shelf and door organization is very disappointing. Interior shelves have limited height adjustment with the max being 7" so you cannot fit anything slightly tall such as bottles or pitchers. One shelf has a front slide back that lets you put something taller but not much and then you lose too much space. The one area you can put a pitcher is on the right door but the shelves above it do not leave enough room to pull the pitcher out. You have to tip it to get it out and then spill it all over the floor. It would have been much smarter to put adjustment brackets every inch instead of every 3". In summation the left door has 2 removable shelves and 1 fixed. Of those 1 is fixed and there are only 3 possible supports for the other 2. Right door 3 shelves, 1 must be kept at the bottom to accommodate tall items the other 2 can only be used on 1 of the 3 top supports or you can't remove items from the bottom. Interior has 2 shelves above the bottom fixed drawers/Shelf. There are only 3 supports for thos 2 shelves. At the moment ours are set to 6.5",6.8"and 7" heights to provide the best usage for the items we need to store. We had to buy a horizontal shelf pitcher with spigot on Amazon to fit another liquid besides the pitcher we use for Ice Tea. I suggest shopping for a fridge with more possible shelf heights. Dimensions forced this purchase and we should have looked inside better. Just didn't think any fridge would be so restrictive.

Nice color

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Because of size restrictions, we were forced to purchase a smaller (20cu.) refrigerator. The previous unit was 25 cu. yet it fit our enclosure. The new (one month old) unit fit and finish is poor. Slide out trays are cumbersome to operate and one drawer does not fully close. The water temperature being dispensed on the outside of the door is tepid at best.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Unhappy with Product and Service

DO NOT BUY THIS REFRIGERATOR. The compressor went in 6 weeks and Whirlpool Service is unable to locate replacement parts. We are currently 14 days without a refrigerator and Whirlpool is unwilling to provide a timeline as to when a decision could be made on replacement or refund.

Great Fridge
