Small but Mighty

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Despite limited choices for a refrigerator to fit in a smaller space, this was a great find! My old fridge died suddenly and I was rushed into buying and somewhat concerned that I didn't have enough time to look around more and research. But I think I got the best being offered, for my needs.
I did read some complaints about the height of the shelving that doesn't allow taller items. But after some clever arrangement in the fresh food area, I could fit everything I had in my old fridge which was 33" wide (this one is 30" wide and 1" shorter than my old fridge). There's a shelf that slides half back to allow taller containers. Door shelving holds the rest of the tall items. Lighting inside looked dim because I was used to the lighting in my old fridge which I think now was overkill. Contents are illuminated just fine and since the shelving is all crystal clear, I can locate everything easily. The only odd thing is the amount of silicone-type lubricant they sloppily applied to the crisper door slides and the one door shelf that is intended to tip and lift out. I just wiped off the excess.
Outside doors are truly fingerprint resistant (unless you have dirty hands, of course). You can lock the outside panel so young children who like to play with buttons don't accidentally trigger the water and end up soaked. There's a super cool feature for after you've had the doors open while loading groceries.I keep a thermostat inside the fridge and the temperature stays fairly consistent/within range.
Freezer area is large and well-lit. It's divided into upper and lower compartments. Ice maker is in the freezer and the ice cubes collect in a container there (not through the door) and started making ice within 2 hours.
There are three filters for this fridge - a filtered water cartridge, an optional filter for the crisper drawer to slow down ripening, and one is placed in a compartment on the back inside wall of the fridge for overall freshness. They really thought of everything.
I've had this fridge for over a week and overall very pleased with my choice!

So far I love my refrigerator

It fits the space in my small kitchen perfect and it matches my other appliances that I already have. The space inside is perfect for everyday use. Right now I am able to fit my frozen turkey inside. I love that I can still get water from the outside and it has a light on it. Thank you whirlpool.

LEMON WITH A CAPITAL "L"

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased black Friday last year, delivered in April 2022, have had nothing but stress and aggravation ever since delivery. Makes all kinds of weird noises, not normal ones, have had 4 services calls already, and waiting for another to replace a screw we found that belongs somewhere in the refrigerator after being taken completely apart inside this week to replace damper.
1. 7/8/22 Evaporator fan blade and motor needed, plus door switch for light
2. 7/18/22 Replaced above
3. 7/29/22 Corrected sealed system line that was to close to evap cover
4. 8/6/22 Ordered damper
5. 8/27/22 Replaced damper so sounds somewhat better
6. 8/30/22 Call in to VIA to replace screw.
This is completely unacceptable for having a new refrigerator and expecting to be a happy customer. Maybe using all cheap plastic parts has something to do with the quality your company puts out! Got all new appliances but they are not Whirlpool, as we were stuck buying this one because of the size in height that refrigerators have become. Only this one fit in our space. I wanted a much larger one that held more, and had plenty of space for width, but not height. So now we are stuck with this lemon! I am sick of it!

Factory settings and faulty vegetable drawer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was surprised after one week that the factory setting for temperature for the refrigerator was not very cold. Had to go up one notch to get the temperature cold enough to have cold beverages. The adjustment worked.The freezer factory setting is great. Also, the small vegetable drawer on the right does not close tight - there is an air gap due to the back design on the right hand side of the refrigerator - see photos. This means we cannot use the humidity control for that drawer.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this without realizing that it only has a water dispenser in the door - no ice. Ice is in the freezer section. The two pull out drawers do not function well as they get jammed for no apparent reason. They seem cheaply made. The fold under shelf is nice especially as finding any room for taller items is a challenge with this model. Overall, it seems to have less room than our plain model before. I like the different sections in the freezer and also like that there are different cooling choices for the party tray area.

So much space!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Brought this to replace a side by side. Its smaller in width but taller than my last. The finish is beautiful. Only issue, I had to take one of the shelves out to accommodate larger bottles so I lost some storage space.

Great features but ice maker isn't reliable.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this 11 months ago at the 10 month the ice maker broke overnight. The ice clogged the ice maker and the ice maker arm broke 2 days after.but the water dispenser works great and I have not had any problems with the water filter.and also I do love the French door that's hard to find at this price range. I would give it 5 stars but unfortunately the ice maker broke but fortunately we are covered by the warranty.
I would recommend this to a friend!
