Ice maker not working

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought it4 weeks ago. On day 2, I noticed the ice maker was not working. Whirlpool sent out a repairman the following day. Replaced the ice maker. I now have ice. Quick response.

HAVE ISSUE

FOR THE FIRST COUPLE YEARS IT HAS BEEN GREAT ALTHOUGH WE WISH THE ICEMAKER PRODUCED MORE ICE. THE OTHER DAY THE DOORS DO NOT SHUT PROPERLY. THE LEFT DOOR HAS A HINGED PANEL THAT FOLDS ONTO THE DOOR AND HAS A SMALLER HINGE THAT FOLDES INTO THE FRAME TO SEAL THE FIT. IT IS NOT LOCKING EVEN IF WE SHUT THE RIGHT DOOR. USING A 1" PVC PIPE TO PUT BETWEEN HANDLES TO KEEP CLOSED AND SEALED. WOULD LIKE ANY FEEDBACK FROM WHILPOOL OF THIS HAS BEEN AN ISSUE. SHOULD I CALL AN AUTHORIZED WHIRLPOOL REPAIRMAN.

Think twice before buying

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After having the refrigerator for 4 days, everything in the refrigerator part froze up. Even on the lowest setting. The next day, the compressor went and all the food in my freezer defrosted and some food in my fridge spoiled.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good enough in tight spaces

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Had to go with this refrigerator due to the size of the space in my kitchen. We picked it because of the water dispenser on the door and the ice machine. No ice dispenser, you need to take ice from a drawer in the freezer. Putting items too far back in the fridge seems to cause them to freeze, so some adjustments are needed to get the temperatures just right. Due to the internal dimensions, the fruit drawer and produce drawer are not the same size. You can pick which drawer is which by adjusting the humidity switches in each drawer but still sucks. Shelves on the French doors seem sturdy and are technically adjustable for different heights but the buckets are so deep you can't get items out of the shelves if they are placed too close together. There is removable condiments shelf that is interesting, but it seems like a solution in search of a problem, I would not say it is a killer feature of this fridge.
In summary, there are much better refrigerators out there, but none fit in our space, so we ended up with this one and it is perfectly adequate.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The thing I discovered is the you can not put a lot of tall items in the fridge, like milk and wine bottles. There is really only one small area that one could store taller containers, that being the shelf that has a removal section.

Nice fridge that works well and was easy to setup

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this because of previous Kenmore fridge quit working (and has now been fixed). Have a limited space issue where the fridge goes so was limited in options. This is a nice fridge, suites are needs, works well although we do miss getting ice from the dispenser and crushed ice, but it's a minor inconvenience. The only complaint I have is the left door does have to be pushed shut because of how the doors are designed, so there is the small possibility of the door being slightly open and the door open warning light does not light up.
This is also much lighter than the fridge it replaced, so it was easier to get in the house and put into place.
I would recommend this to a friend!
