Perfect fit

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this to replace my old worn out fridge that I've had for quite a while. The seals were tearing and the door hinge made the door sag. I needed a fridge that wasn't to big to fit in the spot in my basement kitchen and this one is the perfect fit. I love the features that are on it. Moisture control is a plus. I've already turned that on after seeing moisture on the door flap. Water dispenser is an added bonus. Didn't have that on my old one. I just have to get used to the space on the inside. Pull out freezer is real nice. Makes things way easier to get to. I love my new fridge.

Nice addition to the kitchen

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a prefect fit for my small kitchen. My previous refrigerator was purchased in 1989, lasted a long time. But I could hear the motor running while sitting in the living room. This Whirlpool is so quiet. I walk in the kitchen to make sure it’s still on.

Wish I had seen this item before purchase

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this fridge to replace a huge french door model that I have had for years. The biggest bonus was that it had a water dispenser on the door and I have always wanted that feature. Unfortunately, this fridge is not up to my standards and I wish I had seen it before purchase, I would not have bought it. First, I was very pleased with the tuck away shelf, only to realize that I HAD to tuck it away in order to put 2 litres of milk in the fridge (it's not recommended to have milk on the door as it is the warmest part of the fridge.) Once the water was installed, I found out that the water out of the dispenser is only chilled to 10C and not "fridge cold" (4C) that I thought, which is a problem with my research. Once I started using the fridge daily I noticed that by scant millimeters the produce drawer will not open unless both doors are open...bad design! Also, I find I have to set the fridge to the coldest temp to keep the fridge at safe operating temperature (I have a fridge thermometer.) Overall I would not buy this product or recommend it to a friend.

Best refrigerator for the space!

First of all I bought this refrigerator, used, about a year ago. We had seen it at the local box store and decided to save up and purchase it when I found it used for an amazing price. I had to replace a missing crisper drawer and a light module. When I hooked up the water supply I had to replace the water inlet solenoid valve which still had the factory plug installed, so I believe the water was never hooked up. I of course replaced all the filters but even with all that it was still an amazing deal. We love the refrigerator features like the crisper produce preserver which keeps our produce crisp for an amazing long time. The filtered water is awesome especially with the large ice tray in the freezer which I added an ice scoop to. The interior is cramped but still bigger than the unit I replaced it with. I found by adding some clear plastic refrigerator containers, I was able to maximize the storage space. The drawers in the freezer are great and by careful packing hold a surprising amount of frozen goods. I do not believe I could have purchased a better refrigerator for the space I had to work with and it looks great in our kitchen. Tip: If your refrigerator starts to leak water check your evaporation tray (in the back outside behind service panel at the bottom). There is a drip tube that has a rubber cap that drips condensation into the tray. The rubber cap has a very thin slit in the end that gets clogged with gunk. Pull the cap off and clean it up and replace it. Leaky refrigerator problem solved! Do this maintenance every 6 months to a year and prevent any leaks from happening due to a clogged drip tube. By the way this is true for almost ALL refrigerators! In short if I am ever unable fix this refrigerator I will only replace it with the same model.

Everything is good except the ice maker

We bought one in the summer of 2019. I wanted a French door fridge with ice that would work with the 30” width. This is one of the only brands that makes one this small. The ice maker has been problematic since the beginning. First it would get stuck on the off position quite frequently. We just had to manually switch it on, so wasn’t a huge problem. About 4 months ago the handle started falling off completely and we had to re-attach every time. Now, even if we re-attach the handle, it makes ice 24/7 and is always overflowing the freezer. We have to clean it out daily. I know ice makers can be problematic, but I thought it would at least last a few years.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Poor design

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this in August when my previous unit failed but there was no floor model, and many orders had a one to two month wait.
The shelves are not halved, the door shelves are not convenient for tall bottles. Too much space is sacrificed to accommodate them.
The bottom freezer divider isn’t movable. The water filter doesn’t last long enough given that I’m a single person using it. The interior light is not bright enough.
It does keep food cold.
I hope that a redesign will happen.
