Great for smaller spaces!

We needed something that would fit a smaller space, both width and depth- but still wanted the french door style. We had a really hard time finding something that fit that bill. This fridge is very nice looking, fits perfect where we needed it and has everything we wanted in an updated fridge. It runs quiet and truly does fend off fingerprints. The feature i really like, is the fold away shelf. Honestly, if that wasn't in there, we would have a hard time, because we normally have several taller items that can't all fit on the door.. It's big enough for a pizza box, the lighting is just right. I also like that the sides are colored to almost match the front, we looked at several stainless steel that the sides were black and it just didn't look right if you are going to see the sides.

A Fitting Replacement

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our kitchen cabinets, while older, are still quite functional. So, when the ice-maker in our older 18 cubic foot capacity fridge sprang a leak we were faced with a some choices. Do we modify the cabinets to accept a larger fridge? Do we redo the entire kitchen? We quickly decided to keep the cabinets as-is and use the money saved for other things like travel, and spoiling the grandchildren. We wanted a water dispenser, and a french door model. Very few choices exist on the market .......in the 30" wide category. We had previously bought Whirlpool Gold appliances and very very happy with their appearance, functionality, and reliability. The refrigeration section easily accepted everything from our old fridge as we transferred food over. The freezer section is bigger. And with the easy access of the pull-out drawer we make fewer trips to our chest freezer in the basement. The only drawback we've experienced relates to space for 4 liter milk jugs or taller items like 2 liter bottles, either in the doors or on a shelf. We have adjusted to smaller milk containers, knowing that small compromise is way less expensive than a full kitchen makeover.
