Great Info

This is a recent purchase and I like the additional features that my Bushnell V4 was missing. The V4 has much better image stabilization so if you have shaky hands, the Z80 may be a challenge. The Z80 has a lot of great information on it so all I have to do is execute a good swing. I like it!

I think it will be great product, in time. It still has some bugs and needs to be rebooted a few times a round. It reboots Quickly, but is annoying.

I received it for a present. My hands shake and after a little while I am able to find the distance to the pin fairly quickly. I also have a Garmin Approach G8 and it also work very well

So much potential with a some frustration

I took my Garmin Z80 out on the course for the first time today. Before going out I made sure it was fully updated and charged. For the first 10 holes I had no issues, however on hole 11 the display would not turn on (the blue light was flashing but the screen stayed black). I powered off the unit and back on, it worked fine for 1 hole and then on 13 it did the same thing. Powered it off again and back on, then it happened again on the next hole. After the 3rd time it worked the rest of the round. I was getting a bit nervous each time I pulled it out worrying it would not turn on again. I do hope Garmin gets this worked out because I really do not feel like powering it off and on several times a round.

A very innovative approach to the game

This device is very innovative and proposes a very different view of the game : seeing all distances, hole layout, dangers in the blink of an eye, being able to estimate the distance pof your shots and the dangers you put into play.
An excellent device. Suffers a few youth problems, but I am confident that Garmin will continue improving it

Very nice Rangefinder/GPS

I just purchased the Garmin Z-80 a couple days ago, and took it to the course today. Although I’m not quite used to all the features yet, I really like how it functions. It’s great not having to shoot the hazards separately, and I love the 2-D course & green view. Only drawback I see is that you can’t store stats & scoring on it, but that’s not why I purchased it anyway. Expensive piece of equipment, but from what I see so far, it’s worth the $$.
