I replaced my previous Cuisinart food processor because the lid fell apart. As I looked to replace the lid, I discovered it was more cost effective to buy a new one. I love the small bowl inside the larger one. It’s much easier to get out than my old one. The box to hold the accessories is genius.

The best thing is that these machines are much lighter in weight than the older ones. I got the dicer option and do not like it. A lot of material sticks in the dicer and requires too much time to get out even with the tool provided. And these machines have such bulky pieces and attachments. They take a lot of room. You can't do without one if you bake and cook in large quantities and this one is well made, Cuisinart is excellent brand but I would love to see some innovation in design.

I was hopeful but very disappointed with this the Elemental 13 Cup Food Processor. The base is very light and the rubber suction cups just don't hold it down very well. Tried to make cinnamon rolls and the machine was thrashing back and forth. I don't like all the nested pushers, they fall out. Compared to my old Cusinart it felt cheaply made. I returned it. Bought a part for my old one and now I'm happy until it breaks. The new pusher ( my second one) feels thin. This may be fine for other types of mixing and slicing. It just did not preform as good as my old one.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I got this to replaced my Kitchenaid FP. I decided to go with the original and am happy I did. For starters, it weighs a lot less than my old one, which means I’ll use it more. I haven’t used the dicing attachment yet but I have used the slicer, shredder, blade and both bowls. The lid has a gasket, so nothing leaks out of the bowl (salad dressing) (LOVE). The feeding tube is also nice, as there are a couple of sizes. The flat lid (yes, there are two lids!) has an opening to add liquid (no tube). Easy to clean as it’s dishwasher safe. Love this machine!
