Before this purchase, I had a Cuisinart Pro 14 that I had been using for nearly 33 years, that is, until the bowl broke and could not be replaced. So far, I'm very happy with the Elemental 13 Cup Cuisinart with Dicing. I didn't know if I really wanted the bowl-within-a-bowl, but I find it very handy. It's also great that it comes with storage containers for all the tools, though I haven't found a place to put them yet. I am satisfied with this choice and am, as always, pleased with Cuisinart quality and customer service.
I would recommend this to a friend!

So far it works well but I've only used it a few times. One negative is that posts have large openings in the bottoms which become clogged with food and are hard to clean.

Perfect for large volume prep during canning seaso

Worked very well. I had this product for several months before using during canning season. I diced onions, peppers, celery etc for canning chili sauce. It worked well and, to say the least, was much faster and more efficient that my smaller Cusinart (which I keep on the kitchen counter).

While the unit came with far more attachments than I will ever use, i am very pleased with it so far. My first use was to make 120 jars of salsa for table toppers at our daughter's wedding. 5 bushels of tomatoes, dozens of a variety of peppers and heads of garlic all processed in short order. The larger capacity and power made short work of it all. The pulse option engages immediately and ceases immediately as well. The unit's components fit securely and feel durable. I make several hundred jars of salsa yearly and am looking forward to years of use with this product, only time will tell of its durability. If the unit lasts several years I will rate this 5 stars. For now i will give it 4 - but I am very pleased so far!
