A little disappointing

I received this appliance as a Christmas present and have used it often. I love the fact that it is not too heavy and easy to move. I also like that the blade can be removed and the work bowl does't have a hole in it. The one thing that has been a problem is that when shredding a vegetable a lot of it becomes embedded between the blade and the top. This has to be cleaned out before proceeding. Also it bothers me that after the blade has been put in correctly, it still wobbles and doesn't seem secure. I make my own mayonnaise and the unit does this beautifully as with all other blending projects.

Fragile. Easily broken

I dropped the work bowl lid in the sink while washing it and part of the pusher broke. The mashine won’t operate without the pusher so my food processor is now a giant paperweight after only a month of use. Cuisinart is out of stock of replacements, presumably because so many people break these overly fragile parts

The handle broke off the first day of using it. It broke off when we were putting it away (wasn’t dropped or anything).

Customers should know Cuisinart's omissions.

The machine is quite capable and easy to operate. The low rating is only because Cuisinart has decided to NOT provide a French fry cutting disk for this particular model. Quick preparation of fries was an important objective for the machine. As other models have the disk available, it seemed reasonable to expect the same for the 13 cup model.

I rarely use this. It is so complicated! The directions are not clear, very confusing diagrams in the "handbook".

So Many Parts

I purchased this Cuisinart machine and I still have not used it yet. Their are so many parts to it, I am a bit overwhelmed. I have just tested a few of the features. I have one of the original machines from over 20years ago and it seems like a much more solid and wel-made machine. This one feels flimsy.

Very happy with this processor. Had an older model that still worked great. Wanted a new one to match our Cuisinart kitchenware set. Great quality (as usual)
Cuisinart product. Love the storage container for the accessories. You can't go wrong with the Cuisinart name.

Disappointing

Replaced 1985 version of Cuisinart Food Processor with elemental 13 cup Food Processor with Dicing and was sorely disappointed with the quality (food bowl and motor). I/we use a food processor frequently. I could definitely see that the quality would not last nearly as long as our 1985 model. We returned immediately.
