I purchased the model with 128gb ssd 1 tb 5400 hdd. 16 gb ram out of box. I also grabbed a crucial 500gb 2.5" ssd, and then another 500 gb ssd m.2 drive. I swapped those for the on-board storage and it is so nice! All my programs and OS fit on the M.2, while all my OneDrive documents and pictures are backed up on the other drive. Before the upgrade, 128 was nowhere near enough for regular use. Just downloading WoW and FXIV left me with a few gigs, not to mention regular office software or photo editing programs. But, with the extra ssd space on the m.2, it is perfect. It gets a little warm when I run FFXIV or WoW on very high settings, but a lap desk with a fan keeps it from getting too bad. The 1050 runs graphics very smoothly for what I use it for (aforementioned games). All the ports are functional and taking it apart to work on was VERY easy. I know just enough about computers to be dangerous and think I can learn to work on them, and this proved me right :)

Good performance, excessive heat

As the title says, the laptop actually doesn't have bad performance. I am enjoying it a lot, and it does work well, but the biggest problem is the heat. This thing gets crazy hot, with CPU temps reaching 95 degrees, and at one point it tipped over 100. That is way too hot, and the computer actually get so hot at times that it burns to the touch. The only way I was able to keep CPU temps in line was to disable TurboBoost in the bios, and now temps don't exceed 67 degrees, which obviously isn't a choice you should have to make when it comes to a gaming laptop.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I am loving the experience of this laptop. only problem is it is heavy apart from that no complaints. I have used many laptops but I love the keyboard of this laptop. Mouse pad is big enough some time it is very much responsive than what it is needed but I am adopting to it.It is the best gaming budget laptop in the current market with type C thunderbolt!!!
