Effortless efficiency

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve had this for about 6 months now and it’s a great fridge! I love that it’s deeper than it is tall and has such a large capacity space. There’s plenty of room for everything and the water/ice options are great!

This was delivered this morning. First of all, the interior lighting is very dim. The top shelf and the shelf where the lower light is are well lit, but the other shelves are pretty dark. There should have been more thought put into the amount of lighting and location of the lighting. This model also states that the lighting is LED . . . . Well that means there are two LED bulbs installed, not that there is sleek LED lighting. The glass shelves are difficult to move because the doors will not open far enough to enable the shelves to be pulled out without marring the doors sides which will show when the door is closed. There is plenty of room in this unit but most of it is in the dark! The doors also didn't line up, one door sticks out farther than the other leaving about 1/4" to 3/8" difference between the doors. That is NOT cool! I had a Samsung that was good at first but then started breaking down and parts were not available due to planned obsolescence. I was told by a repair person to stay away from Samsung, LG and all French Door style refrigerators. I thought this refrigerator would be a good one, I think I was wrong. I am very disappointed with the quality and LACK OF LIGHTING in this refrigerator. BTW, I am a Mechanical Engineer and a design this bad would not fly where I work. Come on Whirlpool, you CAN do a better job designing these refrigerators.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
