So quiet!

Had my GE 18” dishwasher installed today and so far it’s wonderful!!! I have not had a dishwasher in 3 years and I am so glad I went with GE! I had an off brand and it was loud, did not clean well and it was a pain to add salt to it. Ugh! The dishes came out clean and shiny! I added GE to my collection of microwave and stove. All I need now is a GE refrigerator:)

Fine, with some issues

It's fine. It doesn't dry particularly well, and it has an annoying interior layout with odd angles that has nerfed my dishwasher Tetris skills. There's no good place to put large utensils, for example. When you install it below a counter, you can't see the display. I hope it lasts long enough to justify the price.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We'd like to assist you with your new dishwasher. This unit has what we call a 'Condensate Dry' feature. With this drying system design, condensation will form on cooler surfaces in a warm humid environment. At the end of a cycle, while the dish load is still hot, the stainless steel tub walls are already cooling down and pulling condensation to form on the tub walls instead of the dishes. This provides natural air drying of the dish load. The use of a rinse agent ensures spot and film protection for dishes and assists the drying process.
As far as loading the unit, you can refer to the owner's manual for tips starting with page 8. Here is the link:

I love the size and quietness and performance. It has just enough room for one persons all day dishes, cleans very well and is so very quiet. I had not ha a DW is over 20 years and was hesitant to buy one since I am sensitive to noises but decided to try and this one is very quiet.
