Dishwasher In Motorhome!

Beautiful and sleek Looking dishwasher. The 18 inch dishwasher fits beautifully in our new kitchen. Has very nice controls and is super quiet.

A disappointment

The dishwasher is off-gassing. After using it, it gives off an acrid, metallic odor. I switched soaps, but that wasn't the problem. If the problem doesn't abate soon, I will call GE to complain.
I also don't like the configuration of the racks. It holds less of my dishes than my old 18"

We are sorry to hear that you are not completely satisfied with this appliance due to the odor from the tub, and the configuration of the racks. However, we are happy to hear that the dishwasher is quiet during operation.
Odors associated with new appliances are normal. The processes used during manufacturing often may leave a "newness" odor that may not dissipate until after several washing cycles. This condition is completely normal. You can alleviate this condition by running the dishwasher through several cycles using detergent.
A dishwasher will not normally retain odors. Odors present for extended periods of time should be considered abnormal. If you continue to experience issues, we recommend scheduling a service appointment with our factory service team. You can schedule an appointment by calling the service department directly at 1-800-432-2737, or by scheduling online at the following link: https://www.geappliances.com/ge/service-and-support/service.ht

Disappointed with racks

The racks are difficult to fill. Trying to arrange my dishes and glassware leaves a lot of unused space, but I am unable to fit anything else in and have to run the dishwasher with too many blank spaces. I have looked at the suggestions for loading ,but they are not helpful.
