Does the job but is frustrating

The dishwasher does the bare minimum of washing the dishes. However be aware that it does not dry the dishes and requires the purchase of a rinse aid & for the dishwasher to be opened immediately upon cycle completion for the dishes to dry. The cycles also take a very long time. My previous GE dishwasher took about 50-60 minutes to do a full wash & dry cycle whereas this one, it’s shortest normal cycle is about 80-90 minutes. The only positive is that it’s pretty silent and does its job (cleaning dishes).
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Consider the flatware you have

It is not intuitive to use. Have to refer to manual several times just to run it. But my pet peeve is the flatware tray. Mine have larger handles which are comfortable to hold, but are had to fit in the tray provided.I have the Caesner set from Crate & Barrel. Very hard to put the flatware tray.

My dishes get cleaner than any other dishwasher I have ever owned. The dishwasher is also quieter than any dishwasher I have had in the past. Small but fits in my space perfectly. It’s amazing how many dishes I can put in there plus some pots and pans. It takes a little time at first to get to know best placement of dishes. I do not have a large family but had a dinner party of 4 with glasses bowls dishes silverware and some pots and pans. First time I didn’t rinse any particles of food off and they cleaned and sanitized beautifully. I normally rinse or wipe off but this time I didn’t.

Great compact size & features

Have loved this dishwasher! Cleans very well and appearance is great - Only changes I would make... Wish silverware basket fit tighter (fit is loose and have to place silverware strategically so it doesn't tip) The power button on top left can stick & would like a no heat option on dry to wash crystal, but all in all, a great small dishwasher option!!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Improvement needed

The racks could be positioned more conveniently...the bottom rails of the bottom rack need to be closer together so smaller/narrower items could be stacked. The utensil "cage" has two deep spaces and two shallow spaces, not sure why. They all need to be deep and I don't see any structural reason why they're not.
I did have trouble at first hitting the start button just right. I thought I had pressed the button correctly, only to find out I had not and because it's sooo quiet, I didn't realize it.
On a positive note : It is the quietest dishwasher I've ever had. And I'm getting use to it.
I would recommend with conditions.

Perfect for small kitchen

We were excited with our new GE Dishwasher, unfortunately, we only used it for a short time before hurricane IAN hit Fort Myers. However, I would highly recommend it for the performance and very quiet.
