This little dishwasher delivers big results

After receiving my dishwasher, I unpacked it and thought to myself this little dishwasher will not be able to get the job done. After some serious deliberation I decided to keep the dishwasher and install it myself. I read through the directions and followed them step for step, the directions were clear and easy to understand. Once installation was done I put a load of dishes in and ran the dishwasher with no problems. This unit is extremely quite and gets all of my dishes extraordinarily clean, turns out it was a great decision to keep this dishwasher. I can honestly say I could not be more pleased
I would recommend this to a friend!

Quiet, but not great for the price

It's super quiet, which is nice given I have a small house.
But the space planning in the dishwasher isn't great -- I used to have another one the same size and could fit 20% more dishes in. It's also annoying that my larger plates can only go on the side, or else they will hit the spinner.
The wheels squeak very loudly, and when puking the bottom drawer out, you have to be careful or it can just keep rolling off on it's own.
For how expensive this was, I really expected more.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

My G.E. Profile 18" Dishwasher

So far, I have very pleased with my GE Profile 18" Dishwasher. I hope that it lasts as long as my former GE dishwasher (close to 17 years!). I have not yet had any problems with my new dishwasher, and it does a great job cleaning all my dishes, flat wear, pots & pans, and cups & glasses. I like the feature of being able to select the desired wash cycle that I want: longer cycle if I have filled my dishwasher to capacity and a shorter one if I have a less amount of dishes to clean.
I would recommend this to a friend!

great for single dweller

it took me awhile to get use to a smaller dishwasher but eventually i really like it because i only need a small dishwasher that i can use on a daily basis instead of waiting 3-4 days to fully load it to clean my dishes and cups.

Compare older (20 Years old) to NEW GE 18"

The dishwasher cleans nicely. However, having to open the door so the dishes will dry is a hassle.

Nice machine but

The bottom rack should be redesigned. The front most bottom rack section mostly holds saucers. There are very few places to put bowls. It does clean the dishes which is what it is supposed to do and it is relatively quiet. There is a 1/8 inch dent in the top panel! I was lucky to buy it during the summer of 2022 because of the pandemics effect on manufacturing. It is in my camp, so not my primary dishwasher.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
