Product is great, quiet and efficient. Looks good. Stainless steel. Even though it’s only 18” it still fits a lot.

Looks great and works great. There are less expensive models out there but I figured I don’t buy a dishwasher very often might as well get a good one.

Designed by someone who doesn’t use a dishwasher

Dish configuration is poorly set up for the variety of dishes and glassware, interfering with dispersion of washing product. All info in the instructions is about same dish service pieces.

Effective, Quiet, and Awkward

After a good five cycles, the great and the not-great - I wouldn't say bad - have started to sort themselves out.
First, the great: this dishwasher is super quiet. My previous Monogram was, in retrospect, thunderously loud, though really it was great for 2005. While the full cycle is longer now, at two hours, it is not that difficult to wait the extra time.
Also, this dishwasher uses less liquid detergent: as the manual says, softer water, like in NYC, requires less detergent. My first try I used the amount the previous dishwasher used, and things came out clean and smelling like detergent. Since adjusting, dishes are clean and smell neutral. As a bonus this dishwasher is very, very good at cleaning stuck-on food. Not burnt-on, like in a casserole dish, but normal eating leftovers.
Also, the top rack has stem holders that are good enough to handle most types of beer and wine glassware, which was a relief as the previous dishwasher could only hold them on the bottom rack, increasing the risk they would break.
As every detailed review notes, there is no heated dry cycle. I've found that isn't a big deal if I do not need the dishes immediately. Sitting overnight (or at least all day) is plenty good for dry dishes and mostly-dry glasses and cups, and is at least as good as the old model.
The not-great: I still can't tell whether my button-pushing manages to start the cycle, and since there's no outside indicators on this model, it means waiting to see if it actually understood I wanted to run it.
Inside spacing was not thought out all that well, either. The lower rack prongs are at odd spacing that means putting in bowls requires a lot more space that dishes. Large plates can only use the back rack or detergent dispenses poorly (the dispenser gets partially blocked). The front of the back rack is spaced for teeny plates, so it's not great for bowls, either. The utensil holder doesn't really sit in a particular spot well, and with the "lids" on the holder in place, the slots do not work for anything but thin-handled utensils. The utensils are well-cleaned, though, it's just that I can use only about 33% of the slots as laid out.
The unit looks great, though, and I believe it's using less water and energy, so it's a matter of getting the hang of starting the cycle and very occasionally needing a towel for stray droplets.

Hello , I an thinking to buy this one but I can see that Haier GE has the same DW QDT125SSLSS.
Is it possible to tell me what's the differences between these 2 ?
Response from geappliances.comBy Guy@GEA, GE Appliances, June 1, 2021
Hey there, we're happy to help. The Profile model has fold down tines on the lower rack, while the Haier model does not. Other than that though, the specs on these models match up. We hope this is the information you needed to see!
All the best, Guy@GEA

Needed a smaller unit for a second home. Works great. Capacity is small. I do wish I modified my cabinets to fit a larger unit.

Small and mighty

We replaced our 20 year old 18" dishwasher with the GE Profile. What an amazing difference! It holds all the dishes we can use in a day, has a variety of settings to meet every need and is so quiet we don't know it's on (and we have a small condo so the unit is practically in the living room). The installers who have been in the business for 30 years commented how impressed they were by the "sturdiness" of the unit and the parts that were needed to install it. They thought it was better built than some of the full-size units of other brands they install. We couldn't be happier with our new dishwasher.
