A dud

Very disappointed with this replacement to my old Kenmore. In order to get the dishes dry, I have to open the dishwasher right after the cycle is done and let it air out. The lower level prongs are not located in useful places for my dishes and I really wish I had kept my old silverware basket. Used with the top, this new basket does not accommodate anything thicker than a piece of silverware (like a spatula); without the top, the dividers are so low that the silverware doesn't stand upright. In addition I have thus far been unable to turn the nut which holds on the upper arm in order to take it off and clean it. A big dud.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It’s a shame

This 18” dishwasher replaced our old 18” dishwasher of the same manufacturer. The new dishwasher does not have a drying element. Also it has less room for dishes. The utensil box does not fit some utensils. If you take off the top to fit utensils into it, they flop over. We are disappointed as our old GE dishwasher was better performing than our new.

Runs great but does not dry.

The dushwasher runs very smoothly and quiet. The controls are simple to use. The only negative I have is that the unit has no drying cycle. The owners manual seems to avoid the topic. The troubleshooting guide says that I must open the door immediately after the wash cycle is complete. For the price I paid I would expect a drying cycle.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Goofy To Load Dishes

It is cumbersome to load dishes due to the layout and angles of the prongs and the curvature of the upper rack edges. Plus our silverware would not fit into the small holes in the silverware holder. We replaced it with our old silverware holder.

Missing Adapter

This DW does not come with an adapter to connect to a garbage disposal, unless you use the 4 ft. drain hose extension. Seems very silly to include an extension which most people don't need while omitting an adapter that almost everyone would need. We sure don't need an extra 4 ft. of drain hose under our kitchen sink. Waste of money to include one with every DW.

Feeling disappointed

As there is only my husband and I, we bought the 18 inch to gain extra cabinet space. We paid more than we would have for a full sized model because it is special order. It has no extra features. It is very hard to load because tines too close together. My dishes are heavier stoneware. The silverware slots do not accommodate my silverware and had to take them out (the partitions) There is no way to tell if the load is done,, no "clean" signal. I actually dislike it very much and would not repurchase. My last dishwasher was also A small GE and was fine
