Avoid! No drying cycle.

I purchased this item. Unfortunately it is a lemon-hasn't worked for even one cycle. The power cuts out after a few minutes. My electrician said it's faulty and to return it. I went to the online reviews to see if other people had experienced similar issues and I found out that it doesn't have a drying cycle so dishes come out wet (you're meant to dry them by opening the door). I can't return the item even though it's brand new so I will be throwing it in the trash and buying a competitor's product.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi there - We are so sorry that your dishwasher hasn't been able to complete a cycle yet. This would be very discouraging and it's not something we would expect from this unit.
This dishwasher uses a drying feature called condensate dry. With this drying system design, condensation will form on cooler surfaces in a warm humid environment. At the end of a cycle, while the dish load is still hot, the stainless steel tub walls are already cooling down and pulling condensation to form on the tub walls instead of the dishes. This provides natural air drying of the dish load. The use of a rinse agent ensures spot and film protection for dishes and assists the drying process.
If you're following all of the electrical guidelines detailed on page 4 of the installation instructions (linked here: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=31-4000247.pdf&_ga=2.147830327.1494324533.1647957913-1084580016.1645804717) and it's still turning off in the middle of the cycle, then we recommend taking advantage of your warranty and scheduling a service appointment. You can schedule service online at https://www.geappliances.com/ge/service-and-support/service.htm or by calling 1-800-GECares (1-800-432-2737) Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. ET or Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. ET.

bad basket design

18" -- l like that but It is very difficult to load! the tines in the front half are too close together & the back half is badly arranged. Otherwise it is quiet & cleans well -- just a frustration to load

Though the dishwasher looks nice, it leaves much to be desired. Compared to the old dishwasher (of the same size) it replaced, this one is quite ineffective at drying the dishes AND the bottom rack seems to have been designed for small dish sets, not for full-size plates and bowls. The delayed start feature is convenient, though.

To achieve optimum performance make sure the incoming water temperature is at least 120 degrees F. We recommend running the hot water at the kitchen sink before starting a cycle.
