The only constructive criticism we have is that the utensil tray (2 compartments x 4 compartments) takes up a considerable amount of space in the lower rack. In fact, if loaded with with longer utensils in the compartment closest to the exterior corner, placed against the edge of the rack nearest the exterior door, the soap door won't open properly during the wash cycle. A 1 x 8 utensil tray configuration along the interior side would allow for more flexible use of space in the lower rack and would allow the soap door to open with interference.
This GE dishwasher is so quite while running you forget that it’s even running. Dishes come out really clean and dried. Very pleased with this dishwasher
Dishes are cleaned well even on the light cycle. Top shelf is deep making it easy to load bowls and cofeemaker parts. Prongs on lower rack are not conducive to loading dinner plates. Although rated at 51dBA, it seems slightly louder than that (not measured), and it included less sound insulation than our previous GE Eterna dishwasher. The sounds associated with water intake and discharge however have been significantly reduced. Appearence is very nice as are the hidden controls and it is easy to operate.
This dishwasher cleans just fine. But the soap dispenser doesn't release half the time so I have to just drop it in the bottom of the machine instead of using the soap dispenser. The dishes never dry, even with a full jet dry compartment. The racks are very light and I'm always afraid I'm going to break something. But at least the dishes get clean.

This dishwasher is the poorest quality appliance that I have ever seen! It's look, feel and performance is definitely not up to GE Appliance standards! It was a replacement product that was ordered from American Home Shield. Definitely disappointed!! Cancelled my AHS policy that I have had for approximately 15 years once I received this product as a replacement that was "supposed to be comparable" to the dishwasher that I had. Such a joke!!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hello donnacannon - Thank you for posting a review on your dishwasher. We'll be glad to share your comments with our engineering staff as we strive to continually improve our products. Thanks for your candid feedback.
I had to get this model because it was the only one that could fit into my space. Took off one star because it’s double the price of similar dishwashers. However, it does a fabulous job cleaning dishes. I’m amazed at how much better it is than my old dishwasher
