The control buttons are simple and it is easy to understand how to operate the machine to your own needs. Sound level is good and the dishes sparkle. My only complaint is the stainless finish holds every fingerprint but the good news is they wipe off with just a damp cloth.
We're very disappointed with this product. It replaces our old GE which up until recently worked fine. This new one doesn't dry the dishes very well. You either have to open the door IMMEDIATELY after the cycle finishes, or use a drying agent. Looks like GE has a close relationship with the drying agent manufacturer

Hi there,
Thank you so much for your feedback. We're terribly sorry to hear that your dishwasher is not drying as well. We can understand how that would be frustrating. We would like to share a troubleshooting article with you about poor drying in dishwashers. https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=17451

I recently purchased this unit as I needed an upgrade from a Kitchenaid unit which had reached the end of its lifespan. I've had this machine for a week and I regret the purchase. This machine doesn't allow much flexibility in loading. It appears better suited to loading many dishes of the same size and shape. There seems to be no easy way to combine pots, pyrex dishes or any irregularly shaped items with anything other than standard sized plates. You'll need to be careful not to block the soap dispenser from opening when loading utensils. The utensil basket is strategically placed in front of the dispenser. Additionally, this machine does not dry as well as previous makes I've owned. Plates remain relatively wet by comparison to other machines. It's not uncommon to have to towel dry plates and glasses when unloading. There's visible condensation left in the inside tub once the cycle is complete. Another minor issue is this machine is not as quiet as other models on the market. Overall, the machine is underwhelming by today's standards. I wish I had spent more on a better model GE or otherwise. I would not purchase this machine again. I may choose to replace it within the next year.

I like the look of the dishwasher but the stainless steel gets dirty quite easily especially with fingerprints. Easy to clean the outside and has enough storage for dishes for a family of 4. Overall, pleased but would prefer to get a black stainless steel dishwasher in the future.
This particular dishwasher, we've had for about 2 weeks. We were really excited at first because we had been without one for a couple of months. Finally, we get one and on the first run, it didn't dry at all. It was like someone tossed a bucket of cold water on all the dishes. We had to hand dry reach dish, including silverware, which took a good chunk of time. This continued on in the subsequent washes. I'm my opinion, that is counterproductive to the whole reason to have a dishwasher in the first place. We read the manual and as a solution, because obviously this is an issue that was failed to be mentioned when we chose this unit, it was written to IMMEDIATELY (in bold print) open the dishwasher after the cycle has stopped. Really? The whole reason to have a dishwasher is to help you out by saving time cleaning and drying dishes so you can go about your day. So just be aware, if you choose this product, which I'd advise against, you have to babysit the unit as it washes to make sure you catch it IMMEDIATELY after it's finished so you don't have to spend forever hand drying every dish as well as the inside of the washer lid itself. Do yourself a favor, I wish someone had warned me, hard pass.
