We are disappointed in this purchase. The dishwasher doesn't even have a dry cycle. That would be like purchasing a cell phone that you could only talk into but couldn't hear anything.

Good day,

We're so sorry to hear that you are disappointed with your dishwasher. We can understand your frustration and would like to provide some clarity. This dishwasher uses condensate dry. Condensate Dry is an energy-efficient drying system on some dishwashers.

With this drying system design, condensation will form on cooler surfaces in a warm humid environment. At the end of a cycle, while the dish load is still hot, the stainless steel tub walls are already cooling down and pulling condensation to form on the tub walls instead of the dishes. This provides natural air drying of the dish load. The use of a rinse agent ensures spot and film protection for dishes and assists the drying process.

Sooo disappointed

Had to buy online due to size restrictions of my available space. Worst purchase ever. Controls are square buttons that get caught under the panel. Utensil rack has to be distanced from front if rack because it’s too tall for soap door to drop down. Bottom rack only has tall spikes for 12 dinner plates. All other spikes are so short they only work for lunch plates. I can’t fit dishes side by side as I could every dishwasher I had before. Dishes overlap and touch. Very poor design of bottom rack. I only had a height issue. Width and depth were normal and should not have impacted bottom rack design. Truly hate this purchase.

I am so sorry I purchased this machine. I do not understand how it can be on the market with so MANY design flaws. It is my problem. I would return it if I could and Definitely upgrade!!!!!

Machine does not clean dishes as well as past dishwasher, not easy to load or friendly, problem when pushing loaded rack back into machine, does not empty soap dish, silverware basket could be a better design as well as the rest of the dish rack. Would like a better cycle selection. Disappointed, not past G.E. quality.

We know how frustrating any issues with getting the dishes clean, difficulty loading or pushing loaded racks, trouble with the soap dish not emptying and concerns over the silverware basket, cycle selection and overall design would be. For the issue you had with both dishes not getting clean enough and the soap dish not emptying, have you checked to make sure the temperature is at least 120 degrees F? That can affect the wash performance as well as resulting in soap not properly dissolving. You also may want to make sure the filter assembly isn’t clogged. We have more detailed Troubleshooting Tips on page 14 of the manual: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-55124-5.pdf . There is also information on how best to load the unit on page 8, if that may be useful.
