Dishwasher washes GREAT! However, the digital control panel is difficult to master. And, the minimum cycle time is 48 minutes. No quick rinse available.

When did dishwashers lose.the dry cycle?

I did not know to ask if my new dishwasher actually dries dishes, and now I’m stuck! I have to be ready to open the door as soon as the cycle ends. The first time I ran this on normal light cycle, i left the house and returned a couple of days later to wet dishes and dishwasher. I had to dry the dishes AND the interior of the dishwasher. Also, you can only increase the water temp if you run the two higher cycles which take at least two hours to complete! I will be handwashing my dishes…wish I hadn’t bought this dishwasher.

Hi, and thanks for sharing. We appreciate your comments on the performance of this dishwasher. Returning home to wet dishes can be disappointing and we're sorry this happened. This particular model has a Condensate Dry feature. With this drying system design, condensation will form on cooler surfaces in a warm humid environment. At the end of a cycle, while the dish load is still hot, the stainless steel tub walls are already cooling down and pulling condensation to form on the tub walls instead of the dishes. We suggest opening the dishwasher door as soon as the Clean light comes on. You can find troubleshooting tips for this issue in the use and care manual as well. We've provided a link below: (Page 15) https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-55124-5.pdf&_ga=2.217189781.260513937.1658157925-1627173980.1643143164 Thank you for your comments and have a nice day. Mostly good

The dishwasher does a great job of cleaning dishes and is super easy to use. I needed a white dishwasher to match my other kitchen appliances and this one was available. The only drawback for me is the set-up of the racks. I’ve only had it for a couple of weeks so might figure out how to better utilize them as time goes on.

SOME NOT SO GOOD FEATURES

Though it washes well, on the 48 minute cycle, we have only used the 166 minute cycle once and NEVER used the 205 minute cycle as I feel that those times are excessive! Also, the configuration of the racks is mind boggling to us, unless GE wants us to go buy a complete setting for 8 that fits this washer. We have managed, but aside from making the plate section work, there is no real room for the bowls we have because they don't fit in the designated space as shown in the manual, so we just throw them in and hope they get clean. Not allowing the 48 minute cycle to have the same options as the other 2, such as Sanitize, is unfathomable to me. Why not??? Finally, the silverware basket really does not have a home as it does not lock into any position so I'm sure it slides around when the washing is going.

Hey there, and thanks for taking the time to leave a review. While we’re glad it’s washing well for you, we hate to hear you’re unhappy with some of the cycle lengths, the rack configuration, the lack of a Sanitize option for the shorter cycle and the silverware basket. We know these issues may be frustrating and regret any inconvenience caused.
Regarding cycle time, the longer cycles can be useful for heavily soiled dishes, cookware, etc. The cycle time will vary depending on soil level, options selected, etc. Additional options like Sanitize may add extra time, so it might not be compatible with a shorter cycle. For your loading concern, we do regret that the loading section of the manual (starting on page 8 and linked here: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-55124-5.pdf&_) didn’t help with placing your bowls. Notice of each of your concerns will be sent to our team for review; your feedback is appreciated, as we always want to know what our consumers think of our models.
If you have any other concerns or questions, we’re glad to offer assistance any time. Wishing you all the best! -Sarah@GEA

Loading a nightmare!

Difficult setting it up to work. Loading dishes and bowls puzzling. Try loading small bowls and the rack doesn’t hold them up, they just flop down horizontally taking up even more space in the already small interior. Would not recommend. In fact I’m going to try and see if the dealer will swap it out for something else. Came with the new house.

Hello. We hate to hear you’re unhappy with the dishwasher, and have had trouble setting it up and loading your items. We know this must have been frustrating. We always want to provide a simple and convenient experience for you, and regret this difficulty you've had. Notice of your concerns will be sent to our team for future review.
If it might be helpful, we have a ‘getting started’ section in our manual that might be helpful in setting up a wash cycle; that starts on page 5. The manual also has suggestions on how best to load the dishwasher, starting on page 8. If you’d like to view that, it’s linked here: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-55124-5.pdf&_ .
We hope that helps. If you have any other concerns or questions, we’re glad to offer assistance any time. -Sarah@GEA
