Mostly gets the job done

This a decent value for the price. We selected this model because we needed an ADA dishwasher to accommodate a short installation space, and because it was in stock at a time when covid has depressed inventory of all appliances. The cleaning ability is very sensitive to where you place things. Cereal bowls on the bottom rack did not get clean but they seem to work on the top rack. Placement of silverware can block the soap dispenser if you are not careful. There is no drying cycle. Your best bet is to open it right after the cycle finished and the dishes are still hot, and let them dry in the open. The interior space is not as big as our last dishwasher, a Miele that was also ADA, so the load capacity is smaller than a typical dishwasher. Controls are on top and hidden when closed. This led to an explicable design design. The only way to tell if a cycle is done is the "Clean" light on the control panel, which you can't see until you open the door. And when you open the door, it causes the "Clean" light to go out. No idea why they added a light that, by design, you will never see. The silverware basket does not have a corresponding slot where it fits firmly, it just sits randomly on the rack. So it wobbles around or tips over when you start to fill it.
Features are very simple. Three wash cycles, light, heavy, and auto. There is a temperature boost option, and a set-ahead option for a whole number of hours from 1-12. If you open the door during a cycle, you must press Start before closing the door to continue the cycle.
Stainless steel front is of good quality and is easy to clean with the proper cleaner.
We haven't had it long enough to comment on reliability. We hope that GE will be more reliable than some of the premium European brands we considered that are two or three times the price, great performers with lots of features but are expensive to repair with spotty reliability.

Had to modify the top rack to accommodate bowls
on May 15, 2021

This was the only option offered by my home warranty company and I feared the worst after reading several negative reviews. Strangely, I did not have the issues described for the one load that I have run so far. Everything came out perfectly clean and dry, even though this machine does not have a heated drying cycle.
However, my very basic cereal bowls did not initially fit in the designated space in the top rack. The instructions show bowls perfectly lined up but in reality, those two rows of prongs are too close together to accommodate cereal bowls or the smaller sized bowls in my set. After much frustration trying to figure out how to fit more than 6 cereal bowls and 2 rows of glasses in the top rack, I tried bending one pair of prongs. It worked so I bent the rest and can now fit 14 bowls and 3 rows of glasses in the top rack. Using my thumbs, I bent each prong in the left row (back and to the left) and each prong in the right row (back and to the right). I would estimate 1/4” in each direction.
I would have given 5 stars if I hadn’t had to reverse engineer the top rack and if it ran more quietly.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Beautiful dishwasher

This wasn’t my first choice, but because of my after-market flooring I was forced to go with an ADA compliant dishwasher. Of the options given, I’m very happy that I chose this unit. It looks great and the size difference is hardly noticeable.

It Fits!

Our home was constructed with a small footprint for a dishwasher, meaning that only ADA-compliant dishwashers will fit in our kitchen. This product was an economical, attractive and highly-functional solution when our previous dishwasher reached end-of-life after 15 years of heavy use. We find that this unit does a reasonable job, but highlight that it seems to do a better job when using liquid detergent, rather than powdered. If there is lingering water in the detergent tray, there is a tendency for powdered detergent to solidify as a brick in that container rather than dispense in the cleaning cycle. Once we get through our remaining stock of powdered detergent, we will switch full-time to liquid.

Runs quiet!

So far, so good! It does an amazing job at cleaning, and runs quiet like I said! Some things that are a downer is the upper and lower baskets. The configuration of the prongs that hold and support the dishes are not real convenient for our dishes. Love the delayed start feature as well! Good Dishwasher!!!

Sparkling results

With this dishwasher, we just scrape off the food and load the dishes. No pre-washing necessary and everything comes out beautifully. While it is doing its work, we can barely hear the dishwasher; it is very quiet. If I pop open the door when the cycle is finished, the ceramics and metals are already dry and the plastics take another ten minutes or so. We are very happy with our purchase.

THE MACHINE IS EASY TO LOAD AND IS MUCH QUIETER THAN ANY MACHINE I'VE HAD BEFORE. IT HOLDS A LOT OF DISHES AND I ALWAYS FIND A PLACE TO PUT AN 'ODD' DISH OR PAN.
