This wasn’t my first choice, but because of my after-market flooring I was forced to go with an ADA compliant dishwasher. Of the options given, I’m very happy that I chose this unit. It looks great and the size difference is hardly noticeable.
Control panel was defective out of the box. We’re currently waiting for a replacement panel. Our confidence in this machine (and our new GE range) is very low.

Greetings,
Oh goodness! We're so sorry to hear that your control panel did not work. We definitely understand your frustration with that. We'd recommend taking advantage of your warranty to schedule a service appointment to replace the control panel. You can schedule an appointment by calling 1-800-432-2737 or schedule online at https://www.geappliances.com/ge/service-and-support/service.htm
This was the only option offered by my home warranty company and I feared the worst after reading several negative reviews. Strangely, I did not have the issues described for the one load that I have run so far. Everything came out perfectly clean and dry, even though this machine does not have a heated drying cycle.
However, my very basic cereal bowls did not initially fit in the designated space in the top rack. The instructions show bowls perfectly lined up but in reality, those two rows of prongs are too close together to accommodate cereal bowls or the smaller sized bowls in my set. After much frustration trying to figure out how to fit more than 6 cereal bowls and 2 rows of glasses in the top rack, I tried bending one pair of prongs. It worked so I bent the rest and can now fit 14 bowls and 3 rows of glasses in the top rack. Using my thumbs, I bent each prong in the left row (back and to the left) and each prong in the right row (back and to the right). I would estimate 1/4” in each direction.
I would have given 5 stars if I hadn’t had to reverse engineer the top rack and if it ran more quietly.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hello - We are glad your dishwasher does a great job cleaning and and drying your dishes. We are sorry you have had issues with the upper rack. We appreciate you taking the time to share your review. Thank you so much for your feedback! We will be sure to pass this on to the appropriate team for future design and development. Thanks for choosing GE Appliances! Olga@GEA
Very happy with this dishwasher. I especially like the configuration & flexibility of the racks. Also has an upward water spray from beneath the silverware
This a decent value for the price. We selected this model because we needed an ADA dishwasher to accommodate a short installation space, and because it was in stock at a time when covid has depressed inventory of all appliances. The cleaning ability is very sensitive to where you place things. Cereal bowls on the bottom rack did not get clean but they seem to work on the top rack. Placement of silverware can block the soap dispenser if you are not careful. There is no drying cycle. Your best bet is to open it right after the cycle finished and the dishes are still hot, and let them dry in the open. The interior space is not as big as our last dishwasher, a Miele that was also ADA, so the load capacity is smaller than a typical dishwasher. Controls are on top and hidden when closed. This led to an explicable design design. The only way to tell if a cycle is done is the "Clean" light on the control panel, which you can't see until you open the door. And when you open the door, it causes the "Clean" light to go out. No idea why they added a light that, by design, you will never see. The silverware basket does not have a corresponding slot where it fits firmly, it just sits randomly on the rack. So it wobbles around or tips over when you start to fill it.
Features are very simple. Three wash cycles, light, heavy, and auto. There is a temperature boost option, and a set-ahead option for a whole number of hours from 1-12. If you open the door during a cycle, you must press Start before closing the door to continue the cycle.
Stainless steel front is of good quality and is easy to clean with the proper cleaner.
We haven't had it long enough to comment on reliability. We hope that GE will be more reliable than some of the premium European brands we considered that are two or three times the price, great performers with lots of features but are expensive to repair with spotty reliability.
I would recommend this to a friend!

In the beginning (with washer empty and running) the noise was to say the least ridiculous but after loading (and following the directions), dishes are sprarkling clean and you don't know its running
There is a very large gap below the dishwasher. They give you two kick plates but still not enough to reach the floor. This makes it louder, cheap looking because the legs show, and the inside is smaller due to wasted space under dishwasher. On positive note, dishes are very clean

Hello. We are glad to hear that the dishes are coming out clean. Please check and make sure the toe kick is installed properly as it should hide the legs and come close to floor. This is found on page 12 of the following installs. The inner toe kick piece adjusts up or down. https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=31-31590.PDF -- Hope this helps you out. Stay well. Geoff@GEA
