good cleaning, poor drying

Our last GE dishwasher had the warm drying feature so we weren't left with wet dishes after a cycle but this one does not. Definitely a disappointing aspect of it.

Drying Cycle

Disappointed this dishwasher doesn’t have a drying cycle. I have to open the door for the dishes to dry. If I open the door after an hour the inside of the dishwasher is wet even with a drying agent.

Cheaply made and does not have a drying cycle. Who would think we should have looked for that normal feature. Silverware basket will no reseat properly. Absolutely will never recommend. We were replacing a GE with this very similar GE so there was no reason not to expect a good product. Oh brother, were we wrong. The old one broke so it had to be replaced.

You're right, this model dishwasher doesn't have your typical dry cycle, however it does have a heating element. It’s integrated into the wash pump assembly. The heating element is a part of the wash pump assembly. This is why it is not listed as a separate part on the parts list.
The entering water should be at least 120°F (49°C) and not more than 150°F (66°C) for effective cleaning and to prevent dish damage. You can check the water temperature with a candy or meat thermometer. If you turn the hot water faucet on in your kitchen before turning your dishwasher on, this will allow the first fill to be hot. We also recommend having rinse agent in the dispenser. If you have any questions in the future, please let us know. We are here to help! Joyce@GEA

I needed an ADA dishwasher in my kitchen. This model was the only one available. Washed ok but lacks a drying setting. Dishes dry by opening the door. Few settings to choose from. Would not have purchased this model normally but it was the only one available.

Calrod Heater / Condensate Dry

We had your product for two days and struggled to figure out how to get our dishes dry. After reading the manual and researching on line, we found out about the Calrod Heater
Condensate Dry. I can't say we are happy about this. I asked friends, family, coworkers etc.about this NEW feature. Nobody had a clue or heard about it. Having to open up the door after a cleaning cycle is unfortunately inconvenient. Most people are just to busy to catch this on time! It is installed and would cause a hassle with taking off of work for it to be exchanged.Everybody I talked to would have also not noticed this BIG change I highly recommend your company to make it WAY MORE VISIBLE for customers that there is NO heating element in this machine.

Configuration does not suit me.

Dishes do not stand upright. Pots and pans difficult to configure. Wine glasses do not fit.
