Not a great dishwasher

The dishwasher only offers 3 cycles. There is no signal when the washing is complete. The control buttons get stuck. I do not like the internal rack arrangement and nothing can be adjusted for unusual size plates or bowls. The basket for flatware is flimsy and has already broken. This was not a good value in my opinion

Not a wise investment

I am horribly disappointed in this purchase. A major concern is that my stainless will not fit into the silverware basket. I am having to hand wash each piece. Also, the door shows fingerprints too easily.

While the stainless steel does show fingerprints, it can be easily cleaned using mild soap (dish soap) and water, then rinsed with clear water and dried with a soft cloth. This product was to replace a previous GE that was no longer working. The new one seems to clean the dishes well but is extremely noisy when operating. With the old one it was so quiet the only thing we would hear if it filled with water. The new one sounds extremely loud. The new open seems to hold more. We are still in the process of learning the most efficient way to load. I would only recommend this to a friend only after warning them of how terribly noisy it is.

This GE dishwasher is quite a bit shorter that our previous GE model. During installation the leveling legs needed to be extended almost fully and now there is a noticeable gap at the bottom of our unit to the floor. This space will need to be filled with a white board.

silverware tray bad design

The silverware tray really looks like a after thought in design. The silverware dividers for the silverware are not locking into the tray and pop out because the locking tabs are to small and lack the proper amount of pressure. I'm sure this washer was not tested with the silverware tray because a proper test would have failed.

Cullery basket not secure..the control should be about an inch lower so you can see where it's at in the cycle...the tongs on bottom rack nor useful for anything other than dishes and for a small family not versatile
