Much needed dishwasher

This is still a new purchase but happy to have a dishwasher.
Response from geappliances.comBy JuliaGE_AppliancesApril 7, 2026
This is a wonderful dishwasher that features an autosense cycle. During this cycle, a beam of light measures soil levels and water temperature to adjust to the ideal cycle time. We're confident this dishwasher will be an asset in your home for years to come.

Too soon to tell as I've never had a GE dishwasher. My former Whirlpool dishwasher lasted over 20 years. My new GE is very quiet and cleans well.

Avoid this thing like the plague.

This dishwasher looks ok, although I never understood hiding the display under the counter where you can't see it. The capacity is tiny - everything feels cramped and I can't imagine that anyone would ever use the function to lower the top rack - things barely fit on the bottom rack with the top rack raised up. In short, this dishwasher is tiny, and if I wasn't stuck with low countertops, I would have chosen almost any other dishwasher. As for its washing abilities...the dishes come out clean, but soaked. It doesn't matter what cycle you use, there are pools of water on every dish. Nothing like hand drying every dish you just washed. This dishwasher is trash. Would not recommend, unless you have low countertops like me, and you have no other choice.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We'd like to assist with your dishes being wet after a completed cycle. It's extremely important that the water entering the dishwasher is between 120°F and 140°F to ensure the best drying results. Be sure to run the faucet closest to the dishwasher prior to starting the dishwasher to purge cold water from the hot water line.
Additionally, we recommend you check the rinse aid dispenser and fill it if it is empty. Rinse aids promotes drying by causing water to sheet off of dishware and glassware. You can find additional information that would help improve your dishwasher's drying performance here: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=17451.

nice design

The second time I ran a cycle the handle on the silverware basket came off when I was unloading the silverware. Not a good start. Our prior dishwasher was also a GE and had no problems. A feature our prior dishwasher had that I loved was a light that shined on the floor in front of the dishwasher when the cycle was complete.
I would recommend this to a friend!

We would like to help and provide some guidance. For proper drying, the dishwasher door must be opened immediately after the ”Clean” light comes on. You can find additional troubleshooting information as well as the normal sounds that you will hear coming from your dishwasher in the manual on page 17 and 18 at the link here: https://images.salsify.com/image/upload/s--bgO6P4i3--/nser6ngcq4tbkwmtah8i.pdf.
If you find after troubleshooting that you are having issues, we recommend scheduling an appointment with our Bodewell Service Team by calling 1-833-426-3393 or online here: https://www.bodewell.com/schedule-repair-service.

We are happy to provide guidance with this dishwasher. For proper drying, the dishwasher door must be opened immediately after the Clean light comes on. This dishwasher does not include a drying cycle.
