The Right Size
on November 7, 2020

I have only just received this dishwasher but so far it works beautifully. And more importantly, it fits in the space where my old dishwasher was without having to change the countertop height. So many new dishwashers are now too tall for my space.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Hello PamA - Thanks for taking time to share your feedback. We suggest you check the water temperature. Hot water is needed to dissolve and activate the detergent so that it can loosen and remove common food soils. The hot water heater should be set to deliver at least 120 degrees Fahrenheit water to the dishwasher.

To check the water temperature, run the hot water at the kitchen sink and measure the temperature of the running water with a candy or meat thermometer. Adjust the temperature of the water heater accordingly.

We hope this helps. Sharon@GEA

Hi Olc1 - We'd like to thank you for sharing your dishwasher experience and giving us a chance to help. Here are some great tips we hope will resolve the cleaning issue: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=17452

There have been changes to federal water and energy efficiency guidelines in recent years, which means dishwashers now run longer to ensure good wash performance, but they use less energy while running. For additional information please visit: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=18914

We'll be sure to share your comments about the racks with our dishwasher design team for review.

Thanks, again, for your feedback. We appreciate your business. Sharon@GEA

Cleans very well

This dishwasher cleans the dishes very well. I really like the sleek look of the front with the buttons on top. The only downside to that is the edge of the counter covers the buttons, so I cannot read the display if the dishwasher is closed. The reason for only 3 stars is the bottom rack of the dishwasher, which I find to be a very awkward and poor design. I thought it was just me at first until one night my husband stepped away from it and said I need you to load this thing. tje silverware rack wiggles around and it doesn’t fit into any of the spikes naturally to secure it. The section for plates and bowls is not easy to get things to sit well with hitting against each other.
