I didn’t have much of a choice when the dishwasher that came with the house I bought stopped working. This ADA Dishwasher was the only one available to fit under the counter. It’s not as deep as the previous one, but I really don’t have a choice. I mean, it works fine, I just can’t load it up with dishes and pots like my previous dishwasher.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This ADA dishwasher works great in our tight space! I would like longer prongs for dish separation. Also I kept my old silverware holder because reviews said they didn’t like this one, and I agree. As far as drying, the sanicycle works great. Overall it’s not the quality in the racks I had before, but my dishes are clean.
It cleans ok, but the racks seem to have been designed by someone who has never actually owned dishes or loaded a dishwasher. Nothing fits. I lowered the top rack to accommodate reusable water bottles, and now the bottom is too short to allow the spinning mechanism to spin over our standard sized plates. It’s just a very stupid machine. And I paid a lot of money for it and had to wait several months to receive it. This was literally our only option because of supply chain issues and availability, and we had to get the ADA model because of how our floor was installed. The plastic parts are cheap and flimsy and look like they’re ready to break at any moment. Buyer beware! I’ve always loved GE appliances - everything else in our home is GE - but this dishwasher is a stinker,

I don't like the way the dishes are still wet when the cycle is done.

I’m not a fan. The spikes for the plates are too short and close together. In actuality this dishwasher holds less than any other I have owned/used, partially because it’s smaller but mostly because it was just designed badly. In a small dishwasher space counts. The bottom front left is wasted space because if you put anything there, it blocks the detergent door from opening. Also, we’re real people with real plates, bowls, cups and glasses. This dishwasher was not really designed for real people and real life.

Hi there, thank you for the honest feedback. We're sorry to hear you're finding the tines to be too close together and that you're having a hard time fitting the dishes. We can understand this being annoying for you, so these are valuable points that we'll be happy to share with our product development team for future reference.
We're wishing you the best and we appreciate you taking time from your day to reach out.
Machine does not clean dishes as well as past dishwasher, not easy to load or friendly, problem when pushing loaded rack back into machine, does not empty soap dish, silverware basket could be a better design as well as the rest of the dish rack. Would like a better cycle selection. Disappointed, not past G.E. quality.

Oh no, we hate to hear you are not satisfied with your dishwasher! We know how frustrating any issues with getting the dishes clean, difficulty loading or pushing loaded racks, trouble with the soap dish not emptying and concerns over the silverware basket, cycle selection and overall design would be. We always strive to create quality, reliable appliances, and regret any inconvenience you’ve had. Our Design team will be alerted of your feedback for future review and development; we truly value your insights.
For the issue you had with both dishes not getting clean enough and the soap dish not emptying, have you checked to make sure the temperature is at least 120 degrees F? That can affect the wash performance as well as resulting in soap not properly dissolving. You also may want to make sure the filter assembly isn’t clogged. We have more detailed Troubleshooting Tips on page 14 of the manual: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-55124-5.pdf . There is also information on how best to load the unit on page 8, if that may be useful.
We hope the information in the manual will help, but if you’re unable to resolve your concerns and think service may be necessary, one of our technicians would be glad to assist. That department can be reached at 1-800-432-2737 or online at https://www.geappliances.com/ge/service-and-support/service.htm . If you have any other questions or concerns, we are happy to offer assistance any time. All the best! -Sarah@GEA
