When did dishwashers lose.the dry cycle?

I did not know to ask if my new dishwasher actually dries dishes, and now I’m stuck! I have to be ready to open the door as soon as the cycle ends. The first time I ran this on normal light cycle, i left the house and returned a couple of days later to wet dishes and dishwasher. I had to dry the dishes AND the interior of the dishwasher. Also, you can only increase the water temp if you run the two higher cycles which take at least two hours to complete! I will be handwashing my dishes…wish I hadn’t bought this dishwasher.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi, and thanks for sharing. We appreciate your comments on the performance of this dishwasher. Returning home to wet dishes can be disappointing and we're sorry this happened. This particular model has a Condensate Dry feature. With this drying system design, condensation will form on cooler surfaces in a warm humid environment. At the end of a cycle, while the dish load is still hot, the stainless steel tub walls are already cooling down and pulling condensation to form on the tub walls instead of the dishes. We suggest opening the dishwasher door as soon as the Clean light comes on. You can find troubleshooting tips for this issue in the use and care manual as well. Dishwasher washes GREAT! However, the digital control panel is difficult to master. And, the minimum cycle time is 48 minutes. No quick rinse available.

You remember Suzy homemaker ovens? Those plastic things? This is what that feels like. Total junker. Lightweight and super cheap.
