Overall this looks like a pretty good unit. I needed this particular model to fit in the space available. It does a good job. My only concerns are (1) the separators in the silverware basket are pretty useless. I tried modifying them, and that wasn't much better. I just removed them, and things are working okay; and (2) the controls are a bit confusing. Thought I had started the unit washing and discovered an hour or so later that nothing had really happened. Drying of the dishes seems to work well without a separate heated drying cycle - I like that.
Very happy with my dishwasher, better organizing for plates & glasses ( wine glasses) cleans excellent! Very quiet YES I would recommend! Sales person was awesome too :)
I’m disappointed that there is no drying element. I had the ge tech come out to see if it was installed properly. Apparently, as the manual states, the solution is to open the door to let it dry. What a tripping hazard. It took forever for delivery. And 166 minutes to wash dishes seems ridiculously long, especially since they don’t get dried.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi! We appreciate you taking the time to provide us with your valuable feedback. We apologize that your new dishwasher has not lived up to your expectations when it comes to the drying capability. This dishwasher does have a vent fan that helps with drying. We have provided an article to avoid poor drying in your dishwasher at the link below.
Thank you for choosing GE Appliances for your home. We hope you are able to enjoy your new dishwasher for many years to come. Happy cleaning! - Adrian@GEA
When the dishwasher tablet actually pops out if the tray the dishwasher washes great. It seems where the tablet door opens it hits the silverware tray causing the tablet to not pop out until you think the dishes have been clean and open the door. At that point you can see where the door tried to open due to tablet it soaking wet but dishes have only been rinsed. I have had to run the cycle at times 3 different times or just throw the tablet in the bottom to get clean dishes without just hand washing in the sink. I have only had this dishwasher for 1.5 months now.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
