Saturn V is Five Star Masterpiece

With all the complex curves and shapes on the Saturn V, I had my doubts that Lego would be able to pull this project off. I could not be more happily wrong.
This is an incredibly complex and beautiful build. I can only hope that they put out a launch tower and a crawler to go with it in the near future.

Awesome build, awesome toy!

The short story: Pay it, buy it, build it, enjoy it!
The long story: 1969 pieces takes time! It is packeted in 12 bags, I tried knolling the stage 1 pieces, but it would require a BIG table. I'd say it takes the better portion of an entire day to build alone, if you do knolling on every bag. Every bag has some spare pieces, so don't worry in the end, when you have lots of pieces you didn't use. Tips. Take your time! Some parts are structurly stable after you have build the entire bag! It is a fiddly build, but so satisfying! Stage 1 was the hardest mentally, but when it is totally complete, you get a kick and continue building!

Great Set

Recently got back into building lego to try help with my dexterity in my fingers since the nerves in my fingers are all dead as a result of chemotherapy.
I've been looking for challenging/technical sets to help with this, and this one didn't disappoint. It took me about 4 hours in one session without a break to complete. However the set is split into separate modules, so it's got a few good cut off points if you want to take your time and build in more than one session.
Overall this is a fun and technical set to build, and the final product is a great display piece (even though I've disassembled mine, to build again).

As a child of The Space Race, and long time amateur astronomer, I couldn't wait to have this piece of history, for myself. I thoroughly enjoyed the build, and stretched it out over two days. I hope Lego agree to release the Launch Tower, that is currently under consideration.
