Best LEGO product I’ve ever purchased!

This is by far the best LEGO product I’ve built! It’s complexity was really nice, and seeing it all come together in the end was really beautiful... F if you didn’t buy it.

Great Build From the Earth to the Moon

My 5 year old and I built this over the course of several weeks. One step a week so that we could savor it. The build was a good challenge but enjoyable. A great build and memories for a lifetime.

Simply the best

I am a space and rocket fan so this was an exciting kit to build. I build mostly large vehicle sets and some of the building sets. This was by far the hardest, but most enjoyable of any set I built thus far. You have to take your time and really get those pieces in right. There are some tight fits when putting the stages together. The effect of having this all together as one is very impressive. They really got this one right. I usually sell my kits after I do the builds but this one won’t be hitting the resale sites.

Almost but not quite close enough.

Most will agree it is a fine representation of the Apollo Saturn V. However, if you really are a fan of the details, you'll appreciate what they got right, but be disappointed by what they chose not to make custom parts for. Namely the fins and the command service module. The fins closely resemble those of the Saturn 1B and should not be white. They are also missing the letters that were very prominent, A,B,C and D designating the location on the vehicle. A metallic gray would have been ok for the color of the fin and the left half of the base block of the fin should have been black and the right half white. Nitpicky perhaps but in my opinion, they should have at least got the shape right. The command service module is such an important piece, that more customization should have been applied. The capsule should have been shiny metallic silver with a white shroud covering it as part of the escape tower. The service module should have had it's distinctive silver and white appearance with custom reaction control thrusters. I apparently am not alone in this disappointment, for so far I have found custom fins and an escape tower shield online.
Anyways, it is an impressive Lego creation, but I can only give it four stars because of the important details it should have had.

Excellent and well executed model

I bought this on a whim. My 8 year old son and I put this together intermittently over a period of two days. It comes with 12 numbered bags and each bag is a good stopping point in the project. My son is getting into science and space and this was an awesome and fun way of helping him explore his curiosity for space. This is definately involved and if one is enclined to build this in one sitting, Id say about two hours of uninterrupted time is needed to assemble it.

I enjoyed this build. The middle panels were difficult to snap together, and I had to remove a few pieces, but it all worked out.

Great Model!

This was my first ever LEGO kit to build. It was a bit challenging at first (I had to do a partial tear down and go back a few steps) but once I got to the 5th bag of parts it was much easier for me. The model looks great finished, I’m really impressed with it. Now I need to figure out how to store all the parts if I have the nerve to take it apart.
