Tremendous

This set is absolutely phenomenal. It took me about 5 hours to assemble and the completed model has a very commanding presence in any display setting. When building, it's important to pay close attention because subtle mistakes in orientation of the model or an individual part can result in some serious reconstruction. My only main problem with the set is that since the middle and bottom stages are so securely connected, the first time I took them apart the uppermost section took an unexpected launch, landing on the hardwood floor! That strong connection makes it difficult to safely separate the pieces. However I'm not too worried about it and overall I love the set and will continue to admire it for years.

Fun Build Experience

I had so much fun with this build. The level of detail to this set is astounding. The pre-printed pieces are so much better than having to apply stickers. With stickers, you don't always get them on straight but with the pre-printed pieces, it gives the finished build a more professional look.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Amazing set for display or play.

I bought this set for my son (age 11). He is a huge space junkie and has been watching documentaries about the various Apollo missions. This set has an incredibly accurate level of detail in the build and in the way it goes through every stage of the mission. It's hard to believe the final build is made out of Legos with how rounded the rocket is. Highly recommended for both young and old lego fans.

Great Christmas gift from my wife

Received the saturn 5 rocket as a christmas gift from my wife. I would have never bought something like this for myself, but I was very excited to receive this as a gift and after building I can say that it is worth the money - if you are considering purchasing this. The instructions are very clear and the sections are separated into different bags, like chapters in a book. I wish I had limited myself to one section a day, because now it is completed and I am filled with remorse.

What a great set. If you enjoy simply building a set, this set is for you. While I was building it, it kept surprising me how they built it. I can tell that so much thought was put into this set. LEGO did an amazing job on this set, and hopefully this review really helped you. Also, this set is more for display, than for play, if your wondering(which you probably aren't).

Probably the best Lego set I've ever bought - the build itself might not be the most difficult, but the final product is wonderful! The fact that you can break it into the differetn stages for display is awesome, and also pretty educational for my 5 year old :) Highly recommended!

This set is so cool. As I've gotten older I've taken a little bit of a break from Lego, but then I realized that was because I didn't enjoy playing with sets as much, but rather displaying them. This was a perfect re-introduction into my love of Legos, something I am proud to say never died. This set is massive, having a commanding presence on my display shelf. I love the ability to go through all of the stages, from launch to the command module landing in the ocean. The stands that it comes with are very basic yet do the job very well, and they even give off a kind of "basic space travel platform" feel to them, only wish they were in red! And the fact that there isn't a single sticker in this set? Amazing! Having the amount of pieces correlate to the year it was launched is so cool, and the roughly 10 cents per piece rule makes this set worth about $197, but the fact that this thing has NO stickers, all printed pieces, a few custom pieces like the micro figures, and has this much quality, these all make it the most worth-it purchase I have ever made on lego.
