A thing of beauty

This set is a thing of beauty, a wonderful representation of one of man’s greatest achievements. It builds so well, in sections, bag by bag, giving you a glimpse of each stage as it develops. Both NASA and LEGO should be proud of this creation. As a child I had a model Airfix kit of the Saturn 5, but this is so much more. There is one lovely touch too, 1969 pieces which is the year of ‘One small step’.

What started of as an idea that maybe i should buy this set led to most fun lego build i've had. Ever.
Genious structural solutions, overall sturdy and solid design. Beautiful to look at. Nothing more i could hope for.
Now we need a crawler-transport and other rockets in same scale.
Buildtime was a week but tried to build slowly to make it last longer. Probably could build in 2 hours if I wanted. But why would I...

I bought this set for myself and I love it. The build is extremely enjoyable and the finished results does not disappoint. It has a demanding presence and it is amazing how the rocket is curved in structure. But even though is a display model is excellent to act out the famous moon landing. I commend the designers of this awesome model. I am pleased to add it to my collection!

I'm 13 years old and a fan of space and the first moon mission. It took me 2days and change to finish because of school it was a and challenging build. Do not give this to a novice lego builder. It may look simple , but has a complex internal structure. It is mostly ment for display and not for play, but you could play with it if you don't mind breaking it. It is designed by a fan of lego to simulate the REAL stages of the Apollo 11 mission and comes apart in stages. It is very sturdy and won't come apart by you touching it. It is honestly should be a UCS set. It's also a great conversation starter. Overall it's a Great set and is a must buy for any fan of space or collectior

This set was given to me as a birthday present, so I got down to business as soon as I had the chance. The build is fairly long and contains some complex techniques, so I wouldn't get it for a young child. When completed, the rocket is BIG. It really looks epic when you look at it. Really great set, fun to build, and fantastic to display.

The attention to detail as well as the overall construction was incredible. The kit is a solid piece of craftsmanship and is an excellent tribute to all of those who dared to explore the unknown.

I literally have no words for this set! It really is amazing! The build quality is just outright amazing! I really like how the Saturn V also breaks up into stages and I can recreate the whole Apollo mission! I hadn’t played with LEGO for almost a year and this was my first set after this long break, and I must say, it was challenging yet easy to build at the same time! The manual provided has clear, sharp instructions to build every part step by step. A lot of the building techniques really blew my mind especially during 1st and 2nd stage construction! Would I recommend this anyone? Yes! Is it worth every cent? Yes! I really loved building this! Thank you so much to all the LEGO designers and the original fan designers for making this set a reality!
