Amazing set

I fell in love with this set the second I saw it and decided to buy it for my birthday. I showed it to my wife and she decided to buy it for me, as a present.
Please Lego, release the Launch Umbilical Tower for this! There are many people that want it but I see that the idea has been rejected. You could have released it as a bundle or a separate accessory. Also a more elaborate exhibition support system wouldn't hurt to hold each stage/module independently at a 30-45 degree angle. You could start building a whole Ideas NASA set range/collection that could include the accessory sets as well. Adults will buy them, for themselves or/and for their children.
Below I uploaded a few pictures of my current display setup for this set.

Best Lego set I have.....

We had to wait 3 weeks for this to show up. Miss 12 and myself were both at school when it arrived on Monday. I made the decision to wait until after she finished school on Tuesday before we started. It was hard waiting but oh so worth every second. I did the odd bag numbers and she did the even. Tuesday night by her bed time we had done to the end of bag 6. We had so much fun. Tonight we finished bag 12 and both of us think it's the best thing we have ever bought. We have a large collection of Lego sets from sets from the 80's to now. I thought the Speed Champions were really good but again this is the best set so far. If you can order one I suggest you do now even if you have to wait for it. Miss 12 says thanks for the extra astronaut. :) I so want a crawler......

A must have for anyone interested in science!

Wow, what a set the Saturn V really is, a magnificent piece of Lego design that has so many good points it's hard to list them all! I will quickly go through the positives and negatives of this set.
Positives:
- Fantastic display piece This thing looks truly amazing on display, a real piece of history. You can stand it upright in all it's 1 metre height glory, or use the little stands that come with it to display its on its side. A great conversation piece in any environment.
- Printed pieces All the pieces that have unique writing or design are printed, so no stickers! Really helps this set become more of a must have in my opinion.
- Unique building styles There are some building techniques in this set which I havn't seen before, and are truly fun to build. It keeps you guessing and everything fits together perfectly.
-Surprising amount of colored pieces I thought most of this set would be white, black and grey, and while there are lot of those pieces, Lego used a lot of colored pieces inside the structure. Brightens up the build, and gives you a varied selection of pieces.
- Great pieces unique to this set There are some standout pieces that you can only get in this set; the micro Astronauts, the lunar module pieces, the American Flag, there are numerous fantastic pieces you can only find here.
- The set can be taken apart and displayed differently This set is fully functional, and shows every stage of both the Saturn V and Apollo craft, from when the rocket took off, to when they landed in the ocean. You can put the command module and the lunar module together, you can remove the first, second and third sections of the boosters, the detail is fantastic! Every little build in this set looks great, and has functionality.
Negatives
- Unfortunately you can't store everything inside the rocket, as it only fits the lander, so the command module has to stay on the outside. The solution to this is to put the command module piece on instead of the white cone piece, but this takes away how the rocket is supposed to look.
Overall this is one of my favourite Lego sets I have built, and I would recommend it to anyone interested in space or science as a whole.

Very enjoyable challenge

Although my build lasted a couple of months (work and family taking priority) I very much enjoyed the challenge. It was easy to get back to it with no trouble. I impressed myself when I got it done. I would recommend it as a great stress reducer!

Got this set for my B-day ans was so happy, i started building it right away. Took me about 5 hours to finish and i loved every second. The way that it is desined makes it feel like it is solid and could maby even survive being droped (i would not recomend). The set has some very clever uses of pieces that i didn’t expect and i was constantly interested in how the next part was going in. Because of the weight it is not for play unless you use tge seperate stages however if you like legos than this set is worth it.

It was a fun experience to build. everything worked nicely except for when you put the second stage on the first. pieces pop out of the top of the first stage. to fix this you could move the top tan piece on the pieces that flare out. you move it down to the inside and not the outside. Lego please fix this flaw.
