NASA Saturn V model

This is my first review as as a new member.
I chose the Apollo Saturn V kit as my first large purchase as it one of those historic icons that many have grown up with and who have followed NASA's space exploration since the 1960s . The kit itself was challenging not least for the space needed to layout and assemble this piece, but how enjoyable it was to have this towering structure finished and now in a prominent display area surrounded with other items collected over the years. Complementing the assembled replica of the Saturn V is a informative booklet which will make it easier to explain the history to the younger generation of enthusiasts of Lego and space exploration. I am encouraged now to order additional sets for other members of our family who want my example, but i am not ready to part with this new piece, just yet.

Highly Exceed Expectations!

I wasn't even sure that I want to get this when I knew it, then it's running out so quickly and every lego fan I know is showing a picture with it. so I decided to give it a try. It's not easy to get a set now, I got mine after a waiting for a week.
Very excited when I finally received the huge box. It's huge, a lot of pieces (and YES, ALL PRINTED!). It's definitely worth the money. All other sets with the same amount of pieces would have cost much much more.
The three things I really like about this set:
- it is a 1:110 scale model of the real spaceship, and it's a very big/tall/long model.
- the lander can actually fit into the head of the rocket!!! It's so cool. Can't imagine the design/engineering effort that have been put. Nice work!
- the astronaut microfigures!!! It's not minifigure, it's MICRO!! Super cute, so is the small flag.

Three parts I think could have been improved:
- As it's a rocket, naturally, it comes with symmetrical structure, which makes part of the building process repetitive (I personally ok with the amount this set contains).
- The three blue frames, which are used as the base, look so lame. I decided to just get rid of them and let mine standing on the desk.
- I found it's very hard to separate the different parts once I put them together, which makes it a bit harder to play with. This wasn't a big issue for me as I mainly use it as a display model. Kids might find it inconvenient.

Incredible Detailed Build

This was a joy to build. The design allowed for a solid model. Unlike the last large set. this one has all of the components well-defined. One completed, a section is solid and does not fall apart or feel loose.
I am terrible placing the decals, so was VERY pleased that there were no decals - all were built onto the pieces. Thank you!

Fun to build. My 8yr old could build it. Nice detailing. No stickers,all printed bricks! Only thing I wish this set had was a plaque with details about the real thing. I will just have to ad one myself.

Excellent Lego Set

This is possibly the most amazing set I have ever built. It is so brilliantly designed it is amazing. I have played with LEGO sets since I was 5 years old with my very first snowspeeder set. This model is so amazing it looks almost like a plastic or die-cast model. It has all of the stages of a real Saturn V and does the actual rocket justice with its great magnitude. The very small astronaut figures are to scale with the rocket and it dwarfs them - accurate seeing as I have seen a real Saturn V up close. Absolutely amazing set and there are not enough words to describe how pleased I am with this LEGO set.
