One of the best Lego kits!

This was one of the best Lego builds I've ever experienced! Mainly as the Apollo 11 / Saturn V were a part of my childhood but also as this was a challenging build. Not overly difficult, but so many clever and detail small pieces that were then snapped into place along the rocket body.
The Lego design team did a great job on all the details on the various parts of the Saturn V rocket. The fact that the sections can be separated really makes for a great project with visual impact and great teaching capabilities for young kids who never witnessed the Saturn V rocket.
If I could make one suggestion it would be to have more of the blue supports so that I could display the rocket in its sections - similar to the Saturn V at NASA's Kennedy Space Center.

Excellent reproduction of the Saturn V rocket. Fun to build. It's big and solid and worth every penny, especially to space buffs like me.

Firstly, the scale, it's hard to get across just how big this is. the Diameter of the first stage is about the same as a tin of soup or something, second stage is more like a can of coke. and its around a metre tall.
compared to minifig scale, the main engine assy on the base is the same height as a mini fig.
It would have been nice if lego gave you a minifig astronaut with the build, rather than 4 microfigs (also, why 4? as there were 3 on apollo missions) maybe even Benny as a bit of a nod back to the classic space sets from the 80's.
the build itself is very much different from normal lego builds, but makes you think about how you make your own models and shows a different way of doing things which is great.
a very fun strong build, money very well spent!

I can't say more than hasn't been said but I will share some thoughts. First, I'm new to Lego. Have built Falling Water, and the UCS Tie Fighter and that's it. Never played with them as a child. I do, however remember the exitement of the event depicted by this model in '69. It was "the" event of a tumultuous decade. This release from Lego brought a lot of that excitement back. Yes, the finished model (I don't classify this as a toy) is truly imposing and spectacular! Very fun to build, I had to go back just a few times to re-install some bricks that I placed one notch too high, so do pay particular attention to detail while reading the instructions. The model is truly a brilliant rendition of the culmination of millions of dollars, countless man-hours, and three lives. ( The Apollo program itself was very much a reason that integrated circuit design and processing is what it is today. NASA needed ICs badly!) Hats off to Lego to be inspired enough to follow through with this project. It's not only a truly epic display, ( that's Epic, with a capitol E!) but also a fitting tribute to those that were involved in the Apollo program. A+!!

Best LEGO ever

This LEGO set is the best thing that LEGO ever made imho. I wanted to buy it ever since I learned it will hit the shelves almost half a year ago.
It looks great, the build is entertaining and the details are excellent. And it's so big! Definetely worth the price (and that is not the case for a lot of LEGO sets).
Had to wait almost a month for my shipment but it was definetely worth it.

A wonderful experience

I'd seen a few live streams of people building this and it was great fun to build. I built it over several days, spending a couple of hours each day and it was amazing to watch it build into the finished product. It is really impressive once completed. It's also great value for money.

One of the best LEGO sets ever!

I’ve been building LEGO for 47 years and have a huge collection. I can honestly say this is one of the most innovative, fun, and realistic sets I’ve ever built. Very interesting build technique. It looks great on display, and from 6 feet away it looks like a professional model at a NASA museum versus LEGO.
I wish we had more awesome space sets like these! Space Shuttle? Lunar Lander? Please!!!!

well i have been waiting for lego to release a set like this for many many years....
it has definitely been worth the wait, pretty straight forward build helped by the way parts were organised in the 12 bags, some interesting methods used during the build which i shall be using on my own creations
if you havent got it...what are you waiting for its not going to dissapoint
